This stunning 1948 Chevrolet Panel truck has been completely restored into one awesome street truck. For starters the build began with a super solid rust free truck in which the body was removed from the original frame to be prepared for paint. Meanwhile the original chassis was upgraded with a late model GM subframe which includes power rack and pinion steering. power disc brakes and sway bar. The rear suspension consist of 1/2 ton Chevy leaf springs with air shocks and sway bar. The engine of choice for this truck was the reliable chevy 350 V 8 backed by a turbo 350 automatic transmission. The rear axle is a camaro with a 3. 23 gear ratio. The body was sprayed with a 2 stage base/clear paint with hot rod flames which were accented with an airbrush. The paint looks amazing with a show quality finish and deep shine. All the chrome and stainless is new along with all the glass and weatherstripping. The interior has been finished in a two tone leather with power bucket seats. wool carpet. new wood floor and all new chrome hardware in dash. Other features include power windows. tilt column. air conditioning. AM-FM CD player with DVD and back-up camera.
