VEHICLE DESCRIPTION This super rare 1946 Chevrolet Canopy Express has been restored into a beautiful show piece that not only looks amazing but drives like a late model truck. For starters the original chassis was replaced with a late model C 1500 chevy truck chassis. This not only gives the truck a much better ride and handling capabilities on the road with the updated suspension but also allows for GM power steering and power disc brakes. The drive train of choice for this build was a tune port fuel injected 350 V 8 engine backed by a 700 R 4 automatic overdrive transmission and with a 12 bolt rear axle. The cab of the truck was stretched into an extended cab which allows for more room and comfort since the original cab was so small. The fabrication work on the cab is amazing. looks like it came from the factory as an x-cab truck. The body is in excellent shape with a great fit and finish to it. paint looks great with a deep high gloss shine and all chrome. stainless. and glass are in excellent condition. The interior has been fitted with power bucket seats and finished in a soft black leather. Other features include tilt steering column with leather wrapped wheel. CD player. Vintage air conditioning. electric wipers. and Stewart Warner gauges. The truck also sits on a new set of BFGoodrich wide white radial tires. This awesome truck is a true one of a kind that gets tons of attention wherever it goes. when is the last time you've seen one?
