Two special edition Corvettes were introduced in '78. One was the Indy Pace Car which was the first Corvette. but certainly not the last to Pace Indy. The second was the 25 th Anniversary Edition. To commemorate Corvette's 25 th birthday. a special edition was offered in '78. This Silver Anniversary Edition was the first of what became a series that still continue to this day! The car featured two-tone Bright Silver upper and Dark Silver lower paint scheme. special "25 th Anniversary emblems. sport mirrors and YJ 8 Aluminum wheels.
This example has benefited from a recent repaint and new interior featuring leather seats. But the best part is the rare and very desirable combination of the optional high output L-82 engine coupled with the M-21 close ratio 4-spd transmission! The car looks runs and drives great and has cold A/C to boot!
