Two special edition Corvettes were introduced in ’78. One was the Indy Pace Car which was the first Corvette. but certainly not the last to Pace Indy. The second was the 25th Anniversary Edition. To commemorate Corvette’s 25th birthday. a special edition was offered in ’78. This Silver Anniversary Edition was the first of what became a series that still continue to this day! The car featured two-tone Bright Silver upper and Dark Silver lower paint scheme. special "25th Anniversary emblems. sport mirrors and YJ8 Aluminum wheels.
