1972 Mustang Mach 1 4 Speed RUST FREE
Up for auction is my 1972 Mach 1 (not a clone). It has the 351 Windsor V 8 (non numbers matching). The engine was rebuilt about 5. 00 miles ago and runs strong. It has an Edelbrock Performer 4 BBL carburetor with electric choke and headers. It does have a small oil leak. Completely rebuilt 4 speed RUG transmission with new clutch assembly. power steering w/ new quick ratio box. power front disc brakes. factory air conditioning (missing compressor). The front suspension and steering were replaced with all new parts including upper and lower control arms. strut rod bushings. polyurethane sway bar bushings. pitman arm. and shocks. The battery and starter were also replaced within the last 12 months.
The interior has new heater core. dash. headliner. sail panels. package tray. door panels and a new Auto Sound am/fm radio and speakers mounted in the correct locations. All the gauges work like they should. but the horn does not.
The car was repainted last summer and new Mach 1 decals installed. Most of the underside has been painter with POR-15.
The car has spent its whole life in Texas and has almost no signs of rust anywhere. It is not a show car (It has a few hail dings on the roof) but it is a rust free. reliable driver that I would not hesitate to take across country.
Has a clear Texas title in my name.
New Paint and correct Mach 1 stripes (2013)
Auto Custom Sound AM/FM radio with new speakers in correct locations front & rear
New heater core. starter. solenoid. battery and positive/negative battery cables
Not a show car. but a really nice driver & it turns heads everywhere. The horn is not working. and it has a minor oil leak.
