This 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was sold new in Ontario, OR at Sunset Toyota-Jeep-Eagle.  My uncle bought it used in 1985 and it's been in Idaho and in the family since.  My uncle passed away several years ago and I ended up with his Jeep four years ago.  I still have some of the original service records from Sunset Toyota-Jeep-Eagle.

The 360 c.u. V8 engine runs great.  My uncle had the motor rebuilt in the early 2000s.  I added an Edelbrock performer aluminum intake manifold, a Summit racing 4 barrel carburetor, MSD Blaster coil, MSD Street Fire CDI ignition, new spark plugs and wires and upgraded the distributor cap.  It has an aftermarket auxiliary fuel tank that was added back in the 1980s and I still have the build sheet from the vendor.  It has two electric fuel pumps, one for each tank.  It always starts with little effort and will pass anything on the road except a gas station.

It won't pass emissions.  Idaho classic plate vehicles are exempt from emissions testing so it hasn't been a big deal.    The engine leaks oil and the transmission drips fluid so don't park it on nice concrete.  It also leaks gasoline for a bit when the front original gas tank is completely filled.  The brakes work but they do feel soft, like it's time for a new master cylinder.  The factory air conditioning does not work.  I don't know if it needs a recharge or if it's something else.

The power windows and power door locks work.  The cruise control works.  All the gauges work but the gas gauge isn't accurate.

The Big-O Bigfoot tires are 4 years old and have less than 1000 miles on them.  The steering is tight and it will cruise 80 mph on the freeway with little input.  The 4-wheel drive, including low range, works.

Idaho's high desert has been good to this vehicle and there is no rust on the body or frame.  My uncle kept the Jeep in a carport so the paint and woodgrain are in great shape on the sides but the woodgrain is sun damaged and faded on the tailgate.  The paint on the hood is faded.  The exterior has dings and scratches but overall it's in good condition.

The front seats are cracked and the back seats are slightly cracked.  The carpet is in fairly good condition with no rips or tears.  The headliner glue gave up years ago so the headliner sags.

I've decided I don't have the time or space to restore this Jeep so I'm putting it up for sale so someone else can enjoy it.
