Only 120 made in these attractive colors! 30,000 actual miles. This is a show quality survivor. Typically there is a lot more "patina" on an unrestored original car. I am pretty astonished at how nice this car still looks. Original paperwork includes invoice, warranty card, build sheet, literature and a Marti Report. 1st owner bought it new at Hollywood Lincoln in Florida. In 1990 he sold it to a younger friend that used to detail the car for him. In 2019 he sold it to the 3rd owner. All 3 owners treated this car with care and pride.

EXTERIOR: Only 120 were built total in these colors, documented by the Marti Report. This could be the only one still existing. Very attractive looking. Upgraded polished aluminum wheels and new wide white wall radial tires. The tires just replaced the originals. There is even a set of curb feelers so you don't scuff up those big whitewalls. I am amazed at how well kept the original body and paint are. The paint is so good I assumed it's been repainted. I went around this car twice inspecting it closely, I cannot find any signs of a repaint. It's straight, there's no door dings, no scrapes, no damage, no rust. The original yellow paint has a smooth glossy finish. It still has the original Hollywood Lincoln Mercury emblem on the trunk. The chrome is still bright, the stainless is straight. The glass is crystal clear, even the iconic opera windows. The full length vinyl top was an option, it still looks great. There are some bumps under the vinyl on the windshield pillar. The door jambs are clean as a whistle. The weatherstrips and window seals are all still soft.

INTERIOR: It is practically like new! The white leather is still soft and bright white. I'm sitting in this car right now and it's so comfortable I want to spend the day in here. The pull straps on the door panels are cracked, other than that it looks new. Excellent upholstery, door panels still look new. The dash area is pristine. The chrome sparkles, no cracks, clear lenses. The steering steering wheel looks brand new, the rim blow horn works. It has optional AM-FM 8-track player. The power antenna works. The white headliner and visors are pristine. The plush carpet is not worn. All the interior lights work. Seat belts are excellent.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Big 460 motor runs smooth. It's actually a very clean motor compartment for a survivor. It looks just like it would've when it left the factory. All the stickers, paint stamps and markings are still there. The motor still has a nice Ford blue paint. The air cleaner assembly is complete with the snorkels, vacuum lines, heat riser. Correct Motorcraft hose and clamps, Motorcraft spark plug wires. The plastic overflow and washer bottles are not cracked. The hood lamp works. The air conditioning system is complete.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: This giant trunk is carpeted wall to wall. It is like new. It has an original Michelin tire for a spare. The jack assembly is there. The original weather strip is excellent, trunk light works, it still has "paint ok" stamp on the trunk lid.

UNDERSIDE: Excellent original condition. No rotten metal, only typical surface haze. The floors are rock solid, they still have factory yellow overspray on them. The exhaust is original, it's still quite but the resonator is developing a hole. The suspension components look clean and proper. It has disc brakes in front. Bottom of the motor is not greasy. The trans is the original C-6 automatic. There are still factory paint markings on the trans and rear end.

Really, I've had these with even less miles but I have never had a survivor in as good condition as this one is. It's show quality and original! The colors are attractive too. Back then there were a lot of brown, beige, green. It is an outstanding car!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn't have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else's.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn't sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
