SELLER REMARKS

In a world filled with Mustangs. this stunning 1967 convertible stands out by being subtle rather than flashy. It was treated to a fresh build that includes stunning paint. a few small body mods. and a thumping small block V 8 backed by a 4-speed. Yeah. this one's as slick as it looks.

This anthracite attack craft started out like any Mustang and has lived a long. happy life down south. All the trim and badges were shaved and the holes welded up. then the whole body got a metal glaze finish that was sanded and smoothed until you could see yourself in the quarter panels. Two-stage urethane paint from Glasurit gives it that forever shine and lots of careful assembly means it fits together beautifully. A cowl-induction hood was added and looks quite slick on the early Mustang. and you'll note things like the flush-mounted taillights and body-colored moldings give this car a unique look that's extremely appealing. Chrome bumpers went on and glitter against the medium gray paint and the famous Mustang running horse emblem was stuffed back into the grille. just in case anyone mistakes it for something else.

The interior is pure Mustang with very few deviations from stock. Black seat covers are double-stitched pieces from TMI. and the freshening also includes new carpets and a brightly finished deluxe interior dash that looks great against the dark gray bodywork. Mustang logo floor mats protect the floors and it looks pretty industrial with a Hurst cue ball atop the shifter but no console. The Grant walnut-rimmed steering wheel is a bit fatter than a stock one but looks right in a car built in 1967. and the original instruments are still doing their thing. and there's a tach with shift light for running hard. The original radio is gone. replaced by a Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo head unit and it sounds great. The black convertible top stows easily and the trunk is finished in black carpets with a matching cover for the spare tire.

Open that cowl induction hood and you're treated to a built 351 cubic inch Windsor V 8 that was built for power but remains docile enough to drive every day. With an . 030 overbore. TRW forged aluminum pistons. and a Comp Cams camshaft inside and Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake outside. this is one ferocious small block. Edelbrock also supplied the 650 CMF carb and with Crane roller rockers and hardened pushrods. it loves to rev. so you'll make good use of the 4-speed gearbox on the street. It's neatly dressed in black with beautiful aluminum valve covers painted to match the body and long-tube headers give it just the right voice to match its looks. The 8-inch rear end hangs on Shelby-style traction bars and is filled with 3. 55 gears. so this car snaps through traffic yet cruises easily at highway speeds. Heavy-duty shocks and fresh 17-inch performance radials were fitted to a set of late-model Mustang Mach 1 alloys for the perfect finishing touch.

This Mustang is reliable. fun. and happily trundles around town using regular gas and looks like a million bucks. Fortunately. the price is quite a bit less than that. so if you want to stand out. perhaps subtle is the way to go. Call now!
