1986 CJ7 in P3 Classic Black paint code. This Jeep was purchased this past summer and unfortunately its now a project by paint guy cannot finish for several months due to an unexpected illness in his family.  With that being said, I'm cutting my losses here and selling the project as-is.  It's not much of a project at all, really, but please read below as I'll give you the full and complete disclosure.  With minimal work you'll have yourself a super nice CJ7 with some of the lowest miles in the country. The first 4 photos show the Jeep how I purchased it this past summer (photos taken by the previous owner).  The 5th photo shows it's current condition as it sits today at my painter's shop. This Jeep is equipped with the original 258 CID transmission mated to the original TF999 transmission that's paired to a Dana 300 transfer case.  The Jeep also has the desirable Dana 44 rear axle, which was only offered in the second half of 1986, making this one of the last CJs to leave the production line.  The interior is outstanding.  Seats are pretty much like new.  Original front carpet is included, but in mediocre shape.  Probably be very nice with a professional cleaning.  The plow is original to the Jeep, is in excellent condition and works perfectly.  The Jeep runs and drives as-is very nicely.  The original dash pad had a large crack so you'll have to replace that as it's been discarded. So here's the deal.....my painter's wife is very sick and he pretty much abandoned his projects for the next few months to take care of her.  With that being said, I'd rather just cut my losses and sell the Jeep as-is instead of having the Jeep tied up until April or May.  I have 23k into this Jeep, not including the work I already did, and I bought it because it has so much potential.  We already cut the rust out of the tub on the b-pillar and professionally replaced that metal and sprayed the exterior of the Jeep to match perfectly.  You'd never know it had repair.  The only real rot remaining is on the underside of the b-pillars (just a couple of square inches, as seen in the last photo) which is an easy fix from the underside of the Jeep.  The driver side floor pan was replaced by the original owner.  The engine bay is very original, but it does need a cleaning.  There is surface rust in a few areas such as the brake booster and some brackets, but not rot so to speak of. The dash also has some superficial surface rust, so I took the dash off, removed the gauges, and sent it to my painter.  My painter's job was to fix the b-pillar rust (completed as shown in the photos), clean the inside of the tub as it has light surface rust in a few areas (cleaning consisted of wire wheel to remove rust, skim coat of filler, and paint the inside of the tub), and respray the inside of the tub and the dash.  Then I was going to pick up the Jeep to take home for reassembly, which should take about a day if I take my time.  The inside of the tub still needs painting, the dash needs painting, and the dash needs reassembly - all minor projects. But, as stated, I'm just done with this project.  The frame is overall very solid and is not in need of any visual repairs. Please see photos of the underside in the gallery. There is a mild undercoating that has protected the underside of the Jeep fairly well.  I was going to wire wheel off the undercoating and respray the bottom.  Once all this work is done, you'll have yourself a very nice, low mileage CJ.  The Jeep will have the seats, tire carrier, doors and top reinstalled for transport.  The dash pad will be wrapped in a moving blanket for you to install after it gets painted and all the original gauges will be carefully wrapped and placed inside a box. My painter cannot find the driver side seat belt buckle that mounts to the floor of the tub.  Again, this is a MINOR project on one of the lowest mileage CJs remaining in the country, which is reflective in the price.  This Jeep is a bargain if you're willing to do just a little bit of work.Feel free to call me with any questions you may have at 520-789-0875.  I'm taking a big loss here, but I'm still open to respectful offers so please submit.  The Jeep does run and drive for easy transport, but make sure to tell your transporter it does have a plow.  Immediate deposit of $500 is required after accepted offer.  Balance due within 3 business days via bank wire, cashier's check or cash in person.  I can assist by connecting you with my transport service after sale.  They're very reasonably priced and easy to work with.
