1981 GMC Caballero Amarillo
Vin# 1 GTCW 80 H 5 BD 500344 Miles 57,701 Original & Unrestored This Caballero is a 4 year AACA award winning all original survivor (2016-2019).
It was purchased new by Ernest Whitaker at his dealership GMC Quality Trucks and Service in Reading, PA on 6/18/1981.
As evident by the build sheet the owner of the dealership ordered every option available on top of the high line Amarillo package.
The Caballero spent its life of luxury in a heated garage.
A two owner vehicle it was sold by the original owner on 5/15/2013. This original paint time capsule has only 57,701 original miles.
V-8, Automatic, A/C, power windows, power locks, etc.
Original build sheet and clean car fax attached.
Original sales brochure also included.
The Caballero and the fifth generation El Camino shared their mechanical parts and platform.
Other than different nameplates and minor trim variations, it is difficult to distinguish a Caballero from an El Camino from more than 10 paces.
The Caballero is exceeding more rare in terms of production numbers to the Camino.
With limited production, this now a huge plus to Caballero / Camino fans and collectors.
