1972 GMC Sierra 1500 Sierra

Up for auction is my MINT condition rust-free black 1972 GMC C1500 Sierra factory short bed SWB pickup with only 35,493 miles believed to be actual with all original drivetrain.  The truck runs and drives as good as it looks and have confidence it can be driven anywhere without issues other than people having to check it out every time you stop anywhere.  The truck was near as nice before I had it repainted a few years back and shown in pictures on trailer in all original paint.  Loaded with factory options including cold factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, tachometer, tilt wheel and factory AM/FM radio.  The factory tachometer, fully reconditioned factory tilt column and factory AM/FM radio were recently added since this truck was not originally equipped with them per original glovebox SPID but definitely great and expensive additions.  The original metal VIN tag was removed during restoration and misplaced so Kansas Highway Patrol legally installed new VIN decal in front door jamb (pictured) with original VIN after thoroughly examining/verifying VIN from other sources on truck (Frame, Federal decal on door and original SPID along with overall vehicle originality) which they of course all match.  I have and will include copy of that inspection paperwork to new owner for their records.  A lot of money has been spent on the truck recently to get it in such outstanding current mechanical condition.Body and Paint:  The rust-free body is arrow straight with absolutely beautiful original color black paint that shines like glass with a high-end ceramic coating to protect the finish.  I bought the truck in 2017 with believed to be all original paint and body panels pictured on trailer in that condition before any restoration work was done so you can see how nice it was beforehand and in hindsight would have left all original even though much nicer now.  All body panels are believed to be original with exception of front inner fenders and a couple small repairs to driver's side cab supports.  The only prior rust was in inner fender beneath battery tray and a small spot on each of the 2 driver's side cab supports which were repaired with new metal and inner fenders were replaced with new since inexpensive and much cheaper than paying to have originals cleaned up and repaired.  The rocker panels and cab corners are even the rust-free originals!  The inside of bed has been painted but has numerous dents and dings which were not repaired so can be used without concern and out of sight with tonneau cover closed.  Clean original un-altered, un-detailed undercarriage with nothing hidden or needing to be.  The exterior trim is all very nice also.  The original grill is nice but has a ding in center section.  All exterior lights work properly.  Has new cab support bushings with hardware.Drivetrain and Suspension:  The low mileage drivetrain is all original including 350 V8 engine and turbo 350 automatic transmission which are in excellent mechanically condition, function properly, run smooth and strong which sound great through factory exhaust manifolds with single exhaust.  The drivetrain was recently serviced along with new seals and gaskets installed to fix any prior leaks and detailed at that time along with belts, hoses, spark plugs and wires.  A new starter, alternator and HEI distributor were installed.  The heating/air conditioning system was completely refurbished including new compressor, evaporator, receiver dryer, hoses, controls and heater components which all work great.  The brakes were also replaced including new booster, master cylinder, rotors, pads, drums, shoes,  wheel cylinders, hardware and soft lines and work great.  All fluids and filters were changed including oil, oil filter, transmission fluid, transmission filter, rear differential oil, antifreeze and brake fluid so fully serviced and ready to go.  The fuel tank was replaced with a new OEM style in cab one with new sending unit, tank pads and cover.  The front and rear springs and shocks were replaced with new stock height units so rides very smooth with an excellent factory stance.  New front wheel bearings were also installed.Interior:  The interior is in immaculate condition.  New black vinyl with yellow and black houndstooth insert upholstery which was professionally installed.  New carpet with matching carpet floor mats.  Nice original door panels with new woodgrain inserts.  Restored gauge cluster with factory not aftermarket tachometer so works with HEI ignition and LED bulbs for much better visibility.  Completely refurbished factory tilt column with new OEM style steering wheel in smaller 15" size for more space.  Factory AM/FM radio which works great.  All seatbelts are nice and retractors work properly.  Nice original visors and headliner with new chrome headliner chrome trim.  All gauges and lights work properly.Wheels and Tires:  Includes 2 nice full sets of wheels with new tires.  Restored 15X8 factory rally's with new 255/70/R15 BF Goodrich TA Radials and original 15X6 steel wheels, full wheel covers and new 235/75/R15 tires.  Both look awesome on the truck as you can see in the pictures.  Currently has the rally wheels installed.Don't miss your opportunity to purchase this amazing condition rust-free original short bed 1972 GMC
