For sale:1984 Renault 5 Gordini/ le car 2 turbo. Been off the road many years due to the car being bumped when it was only a few years old, the owner decided to have the car resprayed during the course of having the accident damage repairs and when he got the car back was so unhappy with the respray he put the car in his garage and forgot about it. Whilst the car was being repaired/resprayed he had the engine rebuilt by renowned Renault performance engine builder Salv Sacco to turbo 2 210bhp spec. The internals on the engine were circa £1300. Car was originally silver and was painted blue. Needs a full respray now, probably best going back to the original silver as the interior is red. During the accident repairs it had the NSF wing mounting panel replaced which was done that badly I cut it out and have a genuine Renault NOS one ready to go in. Other than that the car is completely original with no rot so most likely when finished to be the only one out there that hasn't been welded back together. A restored one is north of 20k now and one that hasn't had a complete body rebuild possibly a bit more. I cleaned the blue paint and underseal off the osf inner wing and you can see in the pic the original silver paint over the original factory sealer with no corrosion whatsoever. Car has had a genuine Renault NOS roof skin fitted to eliminate the usual 1980's obsession of fitting a pop up sunroof and I have an original 1 piece headlining to go in. Car also comes with thousands of pounds worth of nos genuine Renault parts. Seals, locks, suspension, steering wheel and brand new genuine Renault panels, bonnet, tailgate, doors, wings etc. Car originally sold on here back in August and still hasn't been collected to time to relist. You'll need a trailer for the car and a large van for all the parts and needs to be collected asap following purchase. Payment is by either bank transfer or cash on collection and a deposit of £500 payable by bank transfer within 24 hrs of purchase thank you.
