1970 280SE 3.5 Coupe - ID# 111026-12-000340 - Engine # 116980-12-000288 (matches data card) 717 Papyrus white/245 Blue leather - MFG date January 1970 – Factory power sunroof.Automatic transmission with floor shift selector - Nicely optioned European model - No AC.Manual windows – Halogen fog lamps – Becker Grand Prix radio - Power antenna - Handbooks.2 New spare keys - The 340th 3.5 coupe constructed.Delivered new by Automobil Gesellschaft mbH & CO in Worms, Germany on December 4, 1970. First owner Elektortechnische Spezilfabrik in Heppenheim, Germany. Then sold to Peter Hartel circa October 14 1976 in Mannheim, Germany. Then sold to the most recent owner, an Army Private 2nd class teaching at the American High School in Kaiserslautern,Germany on November 21, 1977. Imported by that owner to the US. EPA/DOT compliance taken care of by Continental Motors in Kaiserslautern in May 1977 before being exported to Kentucky. Retained by that owner until my purchase on January 29, 2021.
