1970 Triumph TR-6

This 1970 Triumph TR6 has undergone a complete body-off restoration including the frame and running gear.  This car was never wrecked and the frame and underside are straight and rust-free.  The beautiful burgundy paint is spectacular, the chrome and trim are perfect, and the interior is brand new and immaculate.  The interior was done in a beautiful saddle tan, and the matching saddle top is also brand new.  The wood dash is new and everything works as it should including all gauges, switches, knobs, and even the glove box and console lights.  All electrical components are new, and a brand new, modern wiring harness was sourced from Moss motors and was properly installed, front to rear.  The aluminum three-spoke, wood rimmed steering wheel (correct for a second-year TR6) is beautiful and highlights the gorgeous interior.  The car was painstakingly restored by an experienced Triumph enthusiast in Memphis, and the engine and transmission were done by a Triumph expert in Connecticut.  The front and rear suspension have been restored to better than new with polyurethane bushings and fresh ball joints up front.  The brakes and the complete undercarriage were also restored.  This Immaculate TR6 is thoroughly dialed in.  She starts, runs, drives, brakes, and handles perfectly.  The 2.5 liter six cylinder engine is topped with two Weber carbs which are tuned to perfection.  She fires right up, hot or cold, then settles into a nice smooth idle with no strange mechanical noises of any kind.  Just that lovely 6-cylinder exhaust note from out back.  The 4-speed transmission, clutch, and rear end operate better than new.  The Red Line Coker classic tires are brand new with just 2 miles on them, and the Mini-Lite wheels are also new.  Included are the four original wheels with trim rings and center caps, which are all in excellent condition.  The restorer chose to not reset the speedometer to zero, so it shows the original 75k miles (if the buyer prefers, there are new zero-mile speedometers available from several vendors).  However, the restoration is only a couple years old and has approximately 300 miles on it.  I have the owner's manual, build receipts, factory tool kit, spare tire, original tonneau cover, the Weber manual, and the original shifter knob.  The title is clear and in my name, and there are three sets of keys.  This TR6 is the absolute nicest example I have ever seen.  If you're looking for an excellently restored TR6 in immaculate condition that has been properly housed and maintained, here 'tis!  The underside is as nice as the topside (I'll wipe the minimal road dust off the undercarriage this weekend).  Please feel free to call Rusty at 615 430 6252 with any questions.  I can store the car inside for a period until pick up can be arranged.  Lastly, high bidder to pay 1000.00 within 24 hours of auction close via paypal, or other agreed method, with balance to be paid within seven days.  Thanks, and happy bidding!
