Up for your consideration is my 1979 Jeep CJ 5. This Jeep was owned by the same owner for over 30 years before my acquisition. This Jeep is highly optioned for performance and reliability, drives like a dream, is super fast and eye catching! 9 P Bordeaux Metallic paint code is icing on the cake. Before reading the rest of the description, please understand you absolutely cannot build a Jeep to these specifications for anywhere near my asking price. She's ready to go right when you get it!This Jeep is a "H" code, which is a letter in the VIN that denotes it having a factory 304 V 8 motor. The original engine was professionally rebuilt with performance internals (approximately 1,000 miles on rebuild) and received the royal treatment with the Holley Sniper Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). The EFI installed on this Jeep is the entire performance package to include customizable programming via the display module, Sniper coil pack, Sniper distributor, and in-tank electric fuel pump. This Sniper EFI was professionally installed by a performance shop here in Marana, AZ. No expense was spared between the engine rebuilt, EFI installation, and performance modifications. Electric fans mated to the brand new 4-core copper keeps the motor running nice and cool, even during the 110* AZ summers! K&N air filter, stainless wrapped fuel lines, upgraded steering shaft and upgraded steering box are also some great touches.Rust? There is absolutely zero rot on this Jeep. The frame is perfect. As far as the tub goes, there was a small patch on the driver side front floor that is barely noticeable. This Jeep spent the vast majority of its life in AZ and rest assured there is absolutely zero rust anywhere on this vehicle. The factory 304 is mated to the desirable T 176 transmission, which was professionally rebuilt as well. Many Jeep enthusiasts consider the T 176 to be the most robust transmission available and the best combination for the 304. The rear axle is a Ford 9", which is as stout as they come. Front and rear lockers are currently installed on the Jeep and this vehicle WILL GO ANYWHERE without hesitation. Truly a pleasure to drive both on and off-road.The paint job is an older paint job and I'd rate it an honest 7.5/10. Per the original owner, it was painted around 2004/2005 and has some minor flaws, rock chips, etc. Overall, it still looks beautiful and I wouldn't change a thing. The Jeep has the rear driver side fender slightly notched (see video) to allow a taller person to very comfortably move the seat back a few extra inches to make it a very comfortable ride. I'm 6'2", weigh 265 lbs and I fit very comfortably in this Jeep compared to other CJ 5 s I've driven. This mod was not a "hack job," it looks very professional. The seats are very nice, period correct aftermarket seats with no holes, tears, etc. They're actually very comfortable .ytvideo
