For sale on behalf of the current long term owner (since 1999) this handsome 1972 Triumph TR 6 in Carmine Red.
Well travelled and enjoyed and with many improvements for reliability and performance over the years, this is a TR 6 you can go places in – quickly and reliably.
Part restored in 2002 with new panels and any corrosion removed, then repainted in the original colour.
It was fully waxoyled and fitted with wheelarch liners to protect the underside of the new wings.
The body still looks superb with good panel gaps and just the normal odd stone chip you'd expect from a properly driven car.
New quality black vinyl hood just fitted and frame refurbished.
The engine (CR spec) has a fast road camshaft, unleaded cylinder head to fast road spec, Phoenix tubular exhaust manifold and single pipe system, electronic ignition with Flamethrower coil and Magnecor HT leads, oil cooler, electric fan, rebuilt metering unit by Prestige Injection and Bosch fuel pump conversion.
It goes very well.
Gearbox and overdrive have been rebuilt and work perfectly.
Suspension has been fully polybushed (Superpro) with new Koni dampers at the front and a telescopic conversion on the rear with GAZ dampers.
Four wheel alignment was done at the same time.
Brakes have been rebuilt and upgraded with drilled discs, EBC pads and Goodridge hoses.
The interior is all black with original seats and trim, a Moto Lita woodrim steering wheel and period radio cassette player.
This is a great example of a useable but undeniably good looking TR 6. Not a show queen but always well maintained and - most importantly - driven and enjoyed for many years. I'd encourage genuine buyers to view and test drive. Genuine buyers at this price only please call to arrange.
