1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham

1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham is big classic plush luxury!  Dove gray exterior, silver vinyl top. Red tufted leather interior in great condition and super clean.  All glass is good.  New carpeted Lloyds floor mats with Pentastar logo on front mats.  Power windows, power driver's seat, power door locks, AM/FM 8-Track stereo (8-track works!), tinted glass, AC, right remote mirror, rear wheel skirts, red pinstripe, power deck lid release, power antenna, premier wheel covers.  5 new (less than 5 miles!) Diamond Back 1.6" whitewall tires.  Original window sticker. The driver's door window in the up position seems to be slightly misaligned.   The horn button has been relocated by a previous owner to a small chrome button on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.  The blower blows air but the AC compressor does not engage.  Trunk is just about perfect and exceptionally clean.Paint is very, very good.  The exterior is very clean, clay bar'd, sealed and waxed.  It looks great!  There's no evidence that I can see of a repaint, so I believe this to be original paint.  Along both sides are a few vertical dings that look like it was parked in a double car garage and the car next opened its doors into this car.  The dings don't photograph because of the gray exterior, but they're there.  Vinyl top is perfect.  Every light bulb, interior and exterior, works.  The engine compartment is in good condition.  A previous owner disabled the troublesome Lean Burn system and the car has a normal 4-barrel carburetor.  The 400 engine runs strong.  As is often the case of this generation of Chrysler engines, the valve covers leak a bit.  Perhaps because of the disabled Lean Burn, it has a slight tremble at idle.  It's not bad, just a little shimmy.  There's a brand new, factory correct, hood pad installed.Sale includes is a custom California Car Cover and storage bag, used once.  Also included are 2 extra matching wheel covers, shop manual on CD, touch up paint pen, and literature set. Sadly, medical circumstances have interfered with my enjoyment of the car.  I've driven it less than 10 miles in the last year.  It needs a home where it will be more appreciated.  I've described the car to be best of my ability and somewhat limited knowledge not having driven the car much.  There's no warranty of any kind.  You're welcome to inspect personally in Ballwin, Missouri -----PRIOR----- to submitting a bid.  You're also welcome to have the car professionally evaluated.  Shipping arrangements and payment for shipping are your responsibility, as would be any professional evaluation.  Cleared payment is required before the car and/or title (which is clear) leaves my greedy little hands. :)  I'm not shipping the car to Algeria.  Or anywhere that's not a US address. $1,000 deposit required within 48 hours, and full payment is due within 7 days. 90+ pictures are available at 1978NewYorkerBrougham
