Just in on trade and selling here with NO RESERVE, is my 1968 C-10. Yes, I know the hood and grill are 1969 model-that is what the previous owner wanted-both of which are very easy to find for purchase and switch back to 67-68 era stuff should someone want to. Below is a list of what the previous owner says has been done with respect to the restoration:The previous owner set out to build a brand new late 1960's C-10 that was era correct in terms of looks, with some tasteful mods for reliability and appeal-it has power steering, power brakes, and tilt for comfort and ease of driving.Complete body was taken off the frame. Frame has been blasted and painted with all bushings and bolts replaced both in the body mounts and suspension.Cab has had new rockers and cab corners professionally installed-there is ZERO rust in this truck that I can find ANYWHERETruck was obviously completely disassembled and painted with PPG base/clear as you can tell by the underhood and firewall paint-I will provide the paint code to the new owner should you ever need it for any reasonTruck has all new glass all the way around, front and rear glass, and door glass along with vent windows are all brand new and their corresponding weatherstripping.Truck has all new A-arms and front and rear suspensions have both been rebuilt with new shocks and springs-has a brand new steering box as well with all new steering linkage, and truck has been lowered 3" in front and 5" in rear with CPP components with their adjustable panhard bar as well.Truck has a brand new tilt steering column, a new old stock GM steering wheel, and all brand new interior with door panels, carpet, and seat cover and seat foam, with a Custom Autosound factory appearing AM/FM radio that fits in the stock locationTruck has a brand new 350 Chevy V-8 engine bored .030 over with a mild cam, double roller timing set, GM steel crank, new I beam connecting rods, Melling high volume oil pump and pickup, large intake runner GM 906 casting cylinder heads, and Bowtie intake with a brand new awesome sounding custom exhaust system from the Doug Thorley headers back, and brand new Holley carburetor and it is mated to a newly rebuilt TH350 transmission with a very mild 1800-2000RPM stall torque converter that has very good street manners and is very driver friendlyTruck has an all new brake system and all new Cooper Cobra tires and chrome rally wheels for that old- school-cool look and for reliable stopping power. Truck rides and drives good-I have driven it 10 or 15 miles to test it out and check it over. All of the lights work as they should including turn signals, brake lights, and headlights, and it doesn't get over 180 degrees even idling for an extended period after engine is warm after coming back from a drive. The heat and defrost work like they are supposed to as well if you want to drive the truck some on clear sunny days this winter! I believe that this is a truck that you can drive back home when the auction is over! The wood and stainless are brand new in the bed-the oak has been stained in a rich oak-colored stain and sealed with marine spar varnish to protect it from the elements in case you ever got caught in the rain and the taillights and backup lights and all brackets are new as well as the front and rear bumpers and grill. Like I said, it's all new. If you are thinking about purchasing this truck, please understand that this truck was completed within the last 2 months and was done at today's labor rates and with today's parts prices-both of which are triple or quadruple what they were 5 years ago. This truck is not necessarily supposed to be cheap, but you get what you pay for these days for sure. Keep that in mind and bid to win! If your grandfather or Dad had one of these trucks in the late 1960's when they were new, and they want a truck that hasn't been all cut up and modified beyond recognition but is basically like brand new again, then this is the truck for them! Hop in it and go, from day one! Again, this is a brand new build-not a 10-15 year old build with aging, fading, and dirt and dust accumulated all over and underneath, with 50k-100k miles on it-this one is all new or like new on top and bottom, front to rear, and ready to roll! Also, if you are looking to buy an $80k-$100k show truck for $50k, this isn't it. Keep looking. We all want a deal, and I understand that, but this is not a show truck and the paint job and interior didn't cost $50k+, so it doesn't fall into that award-winning show truck category nowadays. If you are looking for a top-shelf driver and cruiser that you can be proud to take to your local and regional shows and cruises, take your sweetheart out for dinner in, or take to church on Sundays, then this is the truck for you! Now for the important stuff-this truck is being sold as-is/where-is with NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER. A $1,000 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of auction's end and this is absolute and non-negotiable. If the winning bidder does not comply, the next bidder in line will get the opportunity to secure the deal at the high bid via the non-refundable deposit. This is to weed out the tire kickers and those whom aren't serious about purchasing the truck. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction's end. If you are serious about buying, I am serious about selling! Truck can be seen by appointment during the auction and I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE anyone interested in bidding on the truck to come look it over DURING the auction and you will not be disappointed-I will be glad to take you for a ride in it and you can see for yourself how nice the old truck really is. If you want to come look at the truck, and we schedule with one another, I will provide you with an address where we can meet and you can check it out. I also ask that if you have questions about the truck that you call me at 606-269-8911 or message me here on EBay. No, I won't be taking more pictures-I am not a photographer, nor do I have time for that with my current work schedule. If you are genuinely interested, you will have to come look it over in person at that point. Please don't wait and hold your questions until the last day of the auction-be proactive with any and all questions prior to auction's end. Please only bid if you have your wife's or significant other's permission so as not to ruin the auction for both me and those genuinely interested in driving this truck home with their winning bid. OK, I have described this truck as honestly and thoroughly as I know how. If you plan to win the high bid, critique the truck and "nitpick it to death" in hopes of lowballing me after the auction is over (yes, I've had that happen), then please, look elsewhere for a truck because I can assure you that you are wasting your time. I have had strong offers on the truck already from 2 of my local classic car dealers who have already looked it over and I refuse to be jerked around by anyone with regard to payment or pricing. I also want you to know up front that I am NOT selling this truck due to needing money- I have 4 other cars in various stages of restoration and completion, and I simply need the room or I would keep it-it is hands down, the best example of a 67-72 Chevy C-10 that I have ever owned, no question about it (and I've had 40 of these trucks in the last 20 years alone). The truck will be exactly as I have described it-nothing more and nothing less. All right folks. That's it. Good luck and happy bidding! Call me or message me if you have questions.
