1981 Mercedes 380SL R107I am selling my classic Mercedes convertible which is clearly in need of a little love and attention.The car had an MOT in July 2015 after a little welding was undertaken to both the offside and nearside rear chassis legs.The car then developed a problem with the tick-over (which was a little fast) so it went back to the local garage and they did nothing to remedy the fault, despite my pressing them. I had other issues at the time and the car was left for some time. It then needed a new fuel pump, which was fitted, but has been left outside for a while and is not is the same condition as it was. It is now stored in a lock-up but it does need some love and attention to get it back to its former glory.I have tried to start it and when fuel is added to the carburettor it does try to start. It will need to be trailered away.These cars are increasing at an incredible rate so this motor still represents an amazing investment.  I now have two other classic MG TD's that need my attention so I have decided to sell the Mercedes as it is.Please let me know if you require any additional information or photos, or if you want to make a reasonable offer.I have added some photos.I have been asked about the condition of the underside. The underneath of the car looks sound. It has stood for a while but not in a damp place.I have taken the hard-top off and the hood it was in very good condition, although the Perspex would need to be replaced .I have received a number of unrealistic offers. Those under £7,000 have been rejected but I am still open to offers and I am happy to arrange an inspection.I can be contacted to view on 01630 672656Good luck
