The small engined SL model. still giving very brisk acceleration to a top speed of 144 mph and returning an average 30mpg. perhaps the best of both worlds.

PLEASE NOTE this is the V6 280 not the straight 6 280 model. and along with that revision (in 1999) came all the facelift improvements that remained the same to the end of production in 2001. it is a 2000 year model car.

Supplied new by Greenfields Mercedes Benz of Shropham during the early summer of 1999. the car was ordered with a whole host of options. On top of the standard features of this car which included ABS. Climate Control. E/windows. hardtop. cruise control etc. some very desirable 'extras'. of which all were factory fitted. included
5 speed automatic gearbox.
Leather Seating.
Rear Seat in leather.
Headlamp wash-wipe.
Wood trimmed Burred Walnut gear stick.
Cassette Compartment.
AMG Alloy wheels. 17 inch.

Suffice to say not too much was left off the extras box. the original owner writing out a cheque for some £70. 00's.

The original owner owner the car for the first 11 years. it living on the mainland until the latter part of the last decade whereupon the gentleman retired to Guernsey permanently.
Passing to the second owner in December 2010.
Always garaged the car can only be described as near mint throughout. an often over used adjective. but not in this case.

I have all the necessary paperwork for the car to be returned to UK mainland registration. an easy process and one carried out often by myself. with this experience I am able to help the new owner with this straight forward procedure.
UK VAT has been paid on the car.

Viewing is at my house by appointment in Wiltshire.

The car will be sold with a 12 month MOT certificate.

Condition of the Car:

The interior still retains that 'new car smell'. That just about sums it up. Only some minor creases on the driver seat give it away the car has actually been on the road. It is superb!
Everything works as it should.

The boot compartment appears never to have been used.
The jack has never been taken out. the spare unused. the tools still unmarked!

The engine bay would win prizes should you wish to take it to a field and line it up with other M-B cars in a concours.
The car starts. stops. changes gear like its a week old!

Bodily the car is as good as you could wish for. less a couple of stone chips. correctly touched in. it is unmarked.

The factory AMG alloy wheels are as new. not even a mark on the rims!
Tyres all have 7mm of tread left.

This is a superb Mercedes Benz SL. with the smaller but very potent engine. this is being offered at just over 10% of ts new car price! Can be used as either a 'high days and holidays' car. or an everyday car. in either case should have another 20 years left in her. You'll get bored of it. rather then it letting you down.
