Current customer rating:
Here for sale is my Marshall Ambulance. Owned for about 7 years, it's been our festival and camping vehicle and has seen a lot of fun and games! Sadly on the market due to other boring commitments and way too many other projects...
I have some documented history of when it was in service and then demobbed to the St. John Ambulance Service, hence the white paint. And it's some paint too. The green paint is heavy duty rust proofing stuff put on by the previous owner.
I had many plans for this beauty involving timber panelling, carpets, 200 tdi etc etc. But when it came down to it I just never had the heart to mess with it. The original military stretchers and stuff were presumably all removed by St.Johns, all I have is a couple of the padded seats. The interior hardboard has seen better days but is dry. The sliding windows leak a tiny bit if it's standing, depending on direction of the wind but all good otherwise.
Recent history is that it was last used in anger in 2019 when the clutch went on a camping trip. Been stored undercover since then and has now had a new clutch. Also new handbrake shoes and rear oil while I was down there.
Sadly didn't see the road last year for some reason and this year came and went...
At present, it still needs the seat box and floors bolting back down and bits and bobs to get it ready for the road but if it goes Buy It Now, it will be as ready for the road as I can make it. Tyres are a mish mash but legal in my opinion.
The chassis needs no work, all solid albeit with a few patches. Same with the bulkhead and floors, it's all been done. The worst I think is a hole at the drivers side windscreen mount on the inside which I've shown in the pictures. The exterior is solid though as shown. The windscreen seal isn't great so there is potential for a bit of rot under there but nothing structural as it is. There is a lot of surface rust (highlighted by the white paint!) on the dash and front bumper etc. but if you're looking at this, you'll know that's nothing to worry about. As said, I just never had the heart repaint it. I'm a patina type of guy. If you're not, we probably can't be friends anyway
