Here we have my beloved mk2 golf gti. I fortunately it started as a project that was never finished, reason being the chap who undertook the work never finished it and as a result it's been sat in my garage for a number of years. There has been a lot of work done to the car, I believe there is a timing issue with the engine as it's been fully rebuilt. Details of the rebuild are: Head: Head port polished, new bronze tapered valve guides, titanium retainers, new +2mm valve seats for inlet and exhaust, +2mm bigger valves for inlet and exhaust, new hydronic cam followers, high lifting cam shaft, veneer pulley, custom golf branded made to order rocker cover and heavy duty valve springs to Rev to 8,000 rpm (with the chip to reprogram the ECU). Ram air carbon fibre air inlet filter, miltek 4-1 exhaust manifold with scorpion exhaust (sounds lovely and very deep)Block:Block has been rebored and honed due to wear, fitted with +2mm pistons and new rings, all new bearings and rebalanced crankshaft. Gearbox:Original gear box, worked great, no noises/crunches coming from it. Fitted with a black diamond uprated clutch and flywheel has been slightly lightened Interior:Recaro full leather interior in grey (out of a previous show car), zender walnut and leather steering wheel (super rare), digifiz 8k cluster (super rare), vortex center console (rare), machined aluminium golf gear knob. Brakes and suspension:Braided brake lines, standard breaks - didn't get round to them. AVO coilover suspension, genuine BBS RM wheels repowdercoats in a bronze, fitted with 2.5inch stainless lips, genuine logo's (wheels were around £2000) If you have any questions then please ask away, I've been keeping hold of this car as there was sentiment to it, however looking at a new career that involves working away I can no longer keep it. If I get the asking price of £5500 then it'll come with the BBS RM wheels, anything less then the original BBS RA's will be have to put back on the car. The car is in the garage which has a slope going up to it. It will need a flat bed lorry to be taken out - this is responsibility of the the buyer. I put in around 15k into this project, it'll make a brilliant show car when finished, pick yourself up a bargain.

**** hello everyone, thank you all for your messages but I've received over 30 in less than 12 hours and simply cannot answer them all, mostly people asking it the buy it now and many offering the buy it now price or even exceeding it. Due to this I will let the auction run to the end. I had one person ask me on condition of bodywork, the bodywork is in good condition with only light marks you will expect from a 30 year old car. Please notice that the car is in the state as it is pictured in the garage. It will clean up nice with a cut and polish - but if you're going for a show car then it'll require a respray. As I'm expecting the car to exceed my buy it now price I will include 3 g60 arches (brand new old stock) unfortunately one of these wasn't available at the time. I will also throw in the bbs ra original wheels if it exceeds £5500. Thanks you. Also any viewings are welcome and encouraged, thanks****

I would also like to add as it's been brought to my attention - completely forgot as I've owned the car for roughly 8-10 years. When I bought the car it was a cat c, I believe the accident to be around 2008 if I remember rightly. At that time the value of the car was low and just means it was beyond economic repair, it was only cosmetic and not structural damage. I don't see it as a massive deal as it's a 30 year old vehicle and expect most cars this age to have had some sort of prang. I know this puts some people off, but at least it's been done through insurance properly. Sorry for not not including this in my original listing, but I want to be as transparent and fair to everyone bidding on the vehicle. Thanks
