NOW TO THE CAR

My plan was just to drive it as is then i decided it needs a restoration .

The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is one of the most collectable sports cars around the world.

Sure. it lacks the performance to match comparable models from Porsche and other high-performance companies. but this is a vehicle that combines stunning looks with traditional Volkswagen reliability and character.

Restorartion Time

The cars body was perspex blasted. all the rust was cut out. and and replaced with new plates and panels .

The body was rust treated and painted $14. 00

All the rubbers in the car have all been replaced .

The Interior / Carpet

Seat's Redone and trimmed in Grey perforated leather with burgundy piping looks great .

Carpet has been redone In the grey $6000 and complements the interior.

Dash has been trimmed

GT Custom Wood steering wheel $400

The Stereo system is optional can be removed .

JVC DVD NAV BLUETOOTH Double din head unit $1000

Top of the range Kicker Splits and rear speakers $350

Top of the range Kicker 500 Watt 4 channel amplifier $400

Speco Guages $800

Speco Spedo. aco. Fuel working minus the speedo just need a speed sensor .

The Engine

A reconditioned 1600 bored out to a 1800 drives great .

It now has a brand new 12 Volt alternator conversion .

15" Original Porsche 356 Wheels

White wall tires

2" narrow beam front end fully adjustable height

This car cost me well over $40. 00 in this restoration. the reason for the sale is the car is parked out on the street.
In time with the VIC weather. the car will get destroyed. and all the hard work gone into this beauty will go to waste. hence the car needs to go to a new home .
