1972 Aston Martin DB 'S' V8

This 1972 mechanical fuel injected version of Aston Martins' world renowned V8 is in absolutely stunning condition and finished in Royal Claret over Biscuit Connolly hide with complimenting carpets. This model is one of 288 Series 2's produced and we believe one of the early transition models from the DBS, hence the use of the DBS  badging on the wing intakes.

First registered new on the 8th of December 1972 to its first owner and having had a total of 6 previous owners the current owner purchased this car from a private collection in 2020. Copies of the V5 registration documents are available with the history file together with MOTs from 1985 verifying the current mileage.

There are invoices totalling £37,500 between 2015 and 2017 which include complete chassis and sill works and door bottoms. All these works carried out by the well respected and well known Newland Motors at Forest Row.

In addition, a further £14,000 was invested completing further improvements including Koni suspension upgrades and a full re-commissioning by marque experts Chicane at Bramshill in 2020.

Thus a total investment of £51,500 having been made between 2015 and the present day and all backed up with documentation to prove.

Consequently, the car presents beautifully, it was recently treated to a full detail and has been ceramic coated to lock in the shine of the Claret paintwork for years to come. The interior is in outstanding condition with the original leather (re-connolised) not showing any age at all and fresh new Wessex wool carpets in the footwells. She starts and runs superbly and drives as though it were straight out of the Newport Pagnell factory. The engine pulls strongly and smoothly through the automatic gearbox with all instruments reading exactly as they should. The correct GKN alloys (including spare) are in excellent condition and shod with Avon Turbosteel tyres with plenty of life left. An original jack is also present along with a rare-as-hens-teeth original Aston Martin Workshop Manual. A quantity of useful and valuable spares have been acquired and are also available.

This vehicle is supplied with 3 sets of keys, Original Instruction / Handbook and Bluetooth connectivity for Smartphone/ Music Streaming.

These Astons continue to present a serious investment opportunity and in this condition this example has been priced extremely competitively. All inspections are positively encouraged. Absolutely no issues with the vehicle being inspected by ANY marque specialist you choose, of course at your own expense.

Additional photographs can be supplied if required/requested.
