Thanks for looking.Only selling as my daughter wants to buy her first home so this will form a large part of her deposit (bank of mum & dad!)My MGB GT has been restored over the past 2 years. Originally in blue, I decided to restore her to a good standard as this was supposed to stay with me through retirement and to enjoy in my later years. However, I'd rather now sell and put the money to better use.The restoration has seen new rear wings (photos to prove - please email me for info), new sills, new front wing, rear valance and all the other normal rot areas replaced with new steel. Bumpers and overriders replaced with new chrome, new rear lights, new chrome grille Stainless exhaust is also new, new alloys in slightly wider profile from MGOC. The seats and door cards and centre console have been re-trimmed in biscuit colour leather. The front and rear windscreens are also new as the rear was showing some delamination and the front was scratched from years of use. New window rubbers and door seals all round. Chrome trims also replaced as the photos show. Many, many other new parts and almost too many to mention. The car will also come with some spares as well - the new owner may as well have them. There is also a folder of bills and other paperwork for its history before my ownership. The engine is new and is still being run in. it's an 1800CC stage 2 unit so higher output with stage 2 head with hardened valve seats so good for ordinary unleaded. The ignition is the bluetooth 123 ignition unit so you can link the distributor to android or iphone/ipad. Battery is new as well. Also new is the radiator and oil cooling system. There is a revotec fan fitted as well which I consider essential for coping in modern traffic in summer. The carpets are also new and soundproofing is added to the floors. Carpets are velour type. For security, there is a battery isolation switch inside the vehicle behind the passenger seat. The gearbox was also swapped for a reconditioned unit with new overdrive. The car drives superbly as you'd expect and the new dark wood MGOC steering wheel sets off the lovely cabin experience. Finally, the car was resprayed and is now in the classic MG Tartan Red and looks superbThe car comes with a heritage certificate so is tax and MOT exempt, as well as being congestion charge exempt as a historic vehicle.Priced to sell, I know i'd never get my investment back but that's not the point - not everything in life boils down to money and I'd rather my daughter enjoys her new home than have the car sitting in the garage.Oh, and it's not seen a raincloud in 2 years - its always garaged as the last picture shows.I have photos of the car during restoration and can send via email.I believe the price is fair for this example and I'd really like to get the asking price but I'd also like this to go to someone who will look after it and enjoy it rather than try to flip it for a profit so may accept a sensible offer As the car is garaged, feel free to come and view it at any time as the lighting is very good in the garagePlease no low feedback bidders
