Current customer rating:
I imported this car from Kentucky. USA in January and it sailed through the MOT first time. It starts on the button and is in extremely good all round condition. There is no rust anywhere including underneath. The interior is original and in excellent condition with no rips or tears.
The 409 runs very strong and temperature sits bang on 185°. I have no details regarding the engine spec. The engine bay is clean and not messed with. There are no drips whatsoever from the engine. transmission or diff when parked up. I have modified the starting system with a remote solenoid because the headers created too much heat for the small gauge starter wire to cope with. It now cranks over much more easily when hot. The engine is a numbers matching 409 cu in and looks fantastic. The inlet manifold. dual quad carbs. 4 speed manual gearbox (think it's a Muncie) with factory linkage and Detroit Locker rear axle are all factory standard and numbers matching. It has ceramic coated long tube headers and a dual exhaust that exits in front of the rear wheels and it sounds fantastic. The gearshift is very positive and slick. Steering is manual and brakes are standard manual drums all round. I find these easy to deal with and a nice change from the normal over assisted steering and brakes. The steering is light when you're on the move and the brakes are set up well and are perfectly adequate in normal driving conditions. The big original steering wheel makes parking easy too. Factory tach looks great and all original and additional auxiliary gauges work. Wheels are 15" steels with Good Year Eagles all round.
VIN# 31611 L 241310 Engine block is QB code with casting #3788068 Factory intake with casting #3814881 Correct Carter AFB carbs Correct heads with casting #3814690 Detroit Locker rear axle Factory 4 speed gearbox Check out

This car is registered. MOT'd and taxed (free historic tax). I will arrange a new MOT for the winning bidder if required. Text or phone to discuss or for more pictures.
