Up for bid we have a very rare 1973 Mazda RX-2 sedan. Reluctant sale, but I just have way too many other projects going on currently. This RX 2 was previously fitted with a later model 13 B EFI engine from a S 4 RX-7. Runs great and is quite the sleeper. Up until recently I actually daily drove this car, it's quite reliable. The body is in fair shape, she's had somewhat of a rough life. When I got the car many years ago, it had been vandalized with a bat and someone had broken into the trunk and damaged the lock mechanism. I am not much of a bodywork guy, so the dings & dents were never really addressed. I removed the surface rust and primered, but that's about as far as my expertise goes in that arena. The passenger fender has rusted through where the fender meets the firewall, seems fairly common on these. I'm sure this could easily be fixed with a patch panel or fender swap. The hood also has some small rust holes and separation issues, typical problems with these old hoods. I had always planned to replace with an aftermarket carbon fiber or fiberglass hood, but could never source one locally. The car was originally white. In the last several months, I've gone through most of the car mechanically and fixed several things – listed below.Specs:* 13 B EFI engine from a 2 nd gen RX-7* 5 speed from a 79/80 RX-7* Haltech E 6 K engine management ECU* Racing Beat Header into dual presilencers into Magnaflow muffler* Enkei 92 15 x 7 old school 4 x 110 wheels* tires are 195/50 R/15, hold air fine but are old and should probably be refreshed* Koni struts* custom made aluminum gas tank w/2 nd gen. RX-7 pump assembly* recently installed new Bosch in-tank fuel pump* K&N air filter/intake* electric fan w/custom aluminum shroud* front swaybar caster blocks* new rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes* custom brake booster adapter – allows aftermarket booster* fresh plugs/oil recently changed* 1 st gen RX-7 front seats – stock RX-2 rear seatsissues and things that still need some work:* fuel/temp gauges don't work (stock RX-2 gauges don't talk to RX-7 sender or Haltech) – personally I'd probably put aftermarket gauges in and call it good* tachometer seems to work intermittently* body work needed – trunk/hood/fenders need some work along with other areas* sometimes you'll get a little whiff of exhaust fumes since the trunk is a little tweaked, I added foam insulation as a temporary fix, but it really needs to be straightened or replaced and a new trunk weatherstrip seal installed – but hey, it's a rotary – isn't that normal? :)* needs a new shifter rubber boot* needs weatherstripping* gas filler door doesn't lock* rear seats need to be redone All in all, she's in pretty decent shape for 48 years old.VIN: S 122 A 177112. Ebay isn't letting me put this in for whatever reason.Shipping, if necessary, is responsibility of winning bidder. As an option – it is possible for me to deliver the car to Seven Stock 23 coming up in LA (Fontana) fairly soon. Just figured I'd throw that out as an option if you're attending.Since ebay decided to wipe out half my photos, I added more here:

Mazda RX-2 sedan Thanks, and happy bidding.
