VW T25 T3 SYNCRO LHD 1.6 DIESEL CREW CAB DOKA 4X4 WITH GTI 2L DONOR ENGINE

Here is my 1987 VW Syncro crew cab.This will be sold with 12month MOT. (mot booked next wk)This rare classic has less than150k and is running the highly economical 1.6 jx turbo engine.This was LHD truck was maintained in Germany under the strict TUV system for the first 23years of its life and was then and was then imported to the UK in 2010. The bodywork was stripped and resprayed apx 2years ago and the chassis is solid underneath.The drivetrain has been rebuilt by Syncro spares apx 5000 miles ago. the front and rear difs were replaced and the all important Viscus Coupling  was renewed.New exhaust fitted.This synchro has the highly desirable fully functioning three button pneumatic 4wd system. this enables you to select 2wd or 4wd and isolate the diff locks independently.These are still highly capable off road vehicles with a light chassis and rear engine.I intended to convert the 70hp 1.6 jx Diesel to the 120hp Golf GTI 2L 8v. but unfortunaly my circumstances have changed(we are loosing our garage space and I don't wanna do an engine swap on the street in the rain ever again!), So a prepared engine can be included in the sale. The donor engine has done 115k miles and was running when removed (donor vehicle details available on request) The GTI swap is a tried and tested route and is as simple as T3 engine swaps get.  (the engine mounts and gearbox housing are straight swaps) New cam belt and water pump are included.I am currently having the GTI wiring harness built by an auto electrician and can be included.this will enable you to plug and play into the synchro wiring harness. All the wires will be custom built with OEM connectors and original VAG components.I spent a lot of time preparing this to build my dream T3 but sadly circumstances and other commitments mean that I won't be able to see this through.I can also hook you up with the relevant Facebook groups so you can have help and advice to hand if you want to proceed with the conversion.maybe you can pick up where I left off.?please contact me to discuss as I could easily sell the 2L GTI lump separately.Serious bidders only.
