1955 Lincoln Capri

1955 Lincoln Capri Sport Coupe: This was the base model Lincoln, no power anything!This car does run and drive!I will try to make a video, if I can of the car running and moving.Starting price lowered, selling my garage.Brakes:The car now has a dual master cylinder.The brakes are the original drum brakes, and it stops fine.The body:This is a 22,000 original mile car.The seats had the plastic covers until I removed them.The body, the floor pans, the frame etc all show it is a 22,000 mile car.The door handles, the hood, the trunk, the fire wall, the license plate area, all smoothed.Good solid front fenders, but one has a dent in it.Inner fender wells will need work and fab to make fit. they are usable.The fuel tank was removed, for the air bags.The wiper holes have yet to be smoothed.Included, if you wish to go old school, is a set of Olds headlight buckets.I planned on just using a French headlight kit:Original colors, dark blue roof, light blue body, with dark blue lower quarters.Those are the colors I was going to go with, sort of a sleeper.The power train:This is a 500 cubic inch Cadillac.It has been bored out .30.It has a aggressive cam.Aluminum intake, with a Elder Brock carb.The car will need a radiator and fan set up:Summit racing has some nice reasonable set ups.It has a automatic, with a Lokar shifter.The exhaust is already sat up, and half way back to the bumper:The wire wheels are from a Cadillac.The are adapters on the hubs for the switch from Ford to GM.These are meant to be just temporary.I was going to go with the smooth wheels and beauty rings.The interior and wiring:The interior is original.To keep original you will need to do JUST the lower part of the front seat.New foam padding and fabric.Maybe a new headliner??? I was going to use as is.The fabric is available from SMS, and it is reasonable priced. The door panels, and back seat, upper and lower are in good 22,000 mile condition.The car is pre wired, hook up to follow as work progresses. The chrome and trim:The front bumper has been redone already.The back bumper will have to be plated.The taillights are NOS, lens and chrome, beautiful, as is the front bumper.All the outside trim is in great 22,000 mile condition.I have a set of factory skirts, not shown in the pictures. There is a BRAND NEW windshield in a crate that goes with the car.Yes, it has the tint and shade.Willing to have delivered within around 300 miles or so.Inspections are invited.Reasonable offers considered.No reserve, just the highest bid wins this solid half finished Lincoln.Payment:A $500 NON REFUNDABLE deposit please.To many times I heard "My wife said no"Wire the balance to my account well before pick up.The car will be released when my bank say it has cleared.E-mail or call my cell phone number for detailed questions.412 287 7693, please leave a message if I do not answer, as my shop is in a bad reception area.Winter project, summer is over!!More details below from my Hemmings listing.
