Vw t2 January 1973 camper first month of the late bays. bodywork is in great condition outriggers etcWas dry stored for 22 years genuine 78k miles think I'm 3rd owner 1914cc turn key engine £6000 with Weber 32/36 carb big valve heads 75a alternator,pointless ignition,vintage speed stainless exhaust,Remote oil cooler/oil stat and filter,never let me down pulls well.Regular oil changes.New fuel tank,recent x4cv joints and boots New rear drums,pads adjusters slave cylinders.Recent front disc,pads and callipers were overhauled,Transporterhaus 4' narrowed beam new steering pin,3.5 reverse spindles shortened steering arms with new steering ball jointsx4.Torsion arms have recent lime bug mounts for the hydro arms x4 new ball joints pressed in.Steering arms flipped,chassis notched and brake pipes relocated Trailer queen bespoke 3' tubs up front,Rear chassis notched and strengthened,transporterhaus adjustable dropped rear arms Full rayvern hydro set up (front/back) will sit beam and gear box on the floor,installed under the rear bench seat so easy to get to and stays dry.Separate battery for the hydro set up with intelligent split charge.Has gas hob/grill,proper gas central heating Rear bench seat lifts up to make a large double bed,(2 lap belts)2 x bunk beds,Has had a roof cap fitted so no leaksBuddy seat,rear safari opening window Had new front panel and inner new seals hear and there,wheels were powder coated and fresh tyres,All in all it's had a lot of time and money spent on it It's free tax and dosent require mot but I've just mot'd it Very reluctant sale engine roughly 110 bhp to 120 Torque 125 to 135 lb ft torque pulls so well.Gearbox higher geared so 65 mph sits at 3700 rpm.Never take to the fuel cut but it's at 6200 which would be around 110 mph.Averages 25 to 27 mpg sat at 65/70.I was going to do the floor in solid oak and paint the cabinets grey make it really modern.But it's down to the new owner.Gearbox cost 1500 5500 for engineSuspension 10k.Drives like a modified t2 please don't expect it to Drive like your new transporterOver 40k spent in last 5 yearI've taken this in part ex and willing to take a cheaper part ex but be sensible with prices please
