VW Golf MK2 GTI 16V in Atlas Grey 3 door FSH, New MOT

WELCOME to a very reluctant sale of my much loved & desirable. nbsp;small bumper MK2 GOLF GTi 16V 3 door which was subject to a recent 5 months Rolling restoration.  

Presented in very attractive Atlas Grey Metallic (LP7V) paint with "Red & Grey" Tartan check RECARO GTi interior with original 1980's BLAUPUNKT Atlanta SQR 49 Radio/ Cassette player as well as the optional 15 " BBS RA alloy wheels. which have just been professionally refurbished and refitted with nearly new KUMHO Ecsta HM 195/50/15 (82V) tyres.  My car also benefits from F. S. H. . a Cat 2 insurance approved immobiliser (with certificate). a recent 20K miles big service and complete overhaul of numerous "wear & tear" components (listed further down).
It's HPI clear. it has a new MOT which it passed without any advisories and very low/clean emissions. a few days ago.
MOT valid until 26th of November 2014. Road tax until the end of May 2014.
  This MK2 GTi 16V was first registered in August 1989 @ "Simpsons Garage LTD. "  a VW Dealer in Lowestoft. here in East Anglia. This VW Dealer is still in business at the very same address as in 1989 however they now operate under a New name of "Robinsons VW"
Unlike so many MK2 Golf GTis . mine has fully documented. nbsp;Full Service History for the past 24 years. half of which (the first 12 years) are from the very same VW Dealer who SOLD the car NEW. back in 1989. The rest are form none VAG garages. This is fully stamped (17 stamps from Simpsons Garage) in the original VAG Service History booklet along with a few invoices. The rest of the service history is also stamped/noted in the same VAG S. H. booklet and supported by numerous invoices. all bound in an additional A4 folder.

In addition to the above F. S. H. .  I also have old MOT certificates dating back to 1999 and a DVLA Owner history print out showing my GTi  has spent all of it's life here in East Anglia. starting in Lowestoft on the Suffolk Coast. then moving inland to Norwich in Norfolk. followed by a brief move to Essex and finally arriving in Cambridge in 2011. where it's been ever since.
Also. unlike so many MK2 Golf GTIs my car does not have the usual rust issues found on so many MK2 Golfs and it is clear to see that one of the previous owners has invested a lot of time & effort in a full window out re-sprayed (in it's original Atlas Grey colour)  prior to my purchase. The car has also had a brand new OEM windscreen fitted. most likely at the time of the re-spray. The paint work is still in excellent condition and the windscreen remains chip free. Further more. the interior is also in excellent condition. without the usual droopy headlining or ripped/worn out/collapsed driver seat.
In the past 5 months my GTi 16V has been subject to what can best be described as a "Rolling Restoration" with a general OEM theme of bringing it right back to what it once was. way back in 1989. This entailed sourcing many rare parts including 16V GTi specific exhaust down pipe (New GENUINE VW old stock) & a reconditioned exhaust manifold to go along with the rest of the OEM exhaust system that the previous owner had fitted 12 months earlier. At the same time the original factory ride height has been restored to what it once was with the aid of many NEW OEM (or better than OEM) suspension components listed below.
