This 1977 Daimler Coupe has recently been recommissioned after spending twenty years dormant in a garage patiently awaiting her time.  She is now completely rust free, gleaming and ready to enjoy!The car has had complete new floor pans, inner and outer sills and all four jacking points replaced. She was then stripped to bare metal and repainted in her original old English white in period cellulose paint. The best original chrome work was sourced and placed on the car. All the rubber seals have been removed and renewed. Headlamps have been upgraded from sealed beams to modern H4 bulbs.Inside the car benefits from brand new soundproofing under the brand new luxury wool carpets. It car retains its original navy blue velour interior which remains in nice condition with minimal signs of use considering the age.  The full length Webasto roof is fully operational and inside the headlining has been completely renewed. All electrics and switches are fully working and the car benefits from a period radio cassette.  The boot area is also in lovely original condition and its complete with original jack. The car also benefits from the discreet modern upgrade of remote central locking, doing away with the need to lock the car using the rather poor original locks. Under the bonnet the engine bay is finished in POR 15 black fuel/oil resistant paint. The carbs have been rebuilt and a manual choke conversion added in place of the often troublesome AED.   A replacement water pump and hoses all round have been installed, including the auto box cooler hoses. The head was removed to inspect the main block for wear/cracks which was in excellent condition. The block has been painted and the head re installed with and NOS jaguar head gasket.  A tappet hold down kit was also installed at this point.  She also benefits of course from new belts/filters/gaskets etc all round.  Every flexible fuel line on the car has been replaced and both tanks are fully functional.Underneath is as clean as above with all new metal work protected with Gravitex. Any cavities where then injected with Bilthamber wax all round.The rear radius arms have been re bushed, and rear calipers rebuilt with new seals and pistons. New brake discs to the rear and the handbrake system refurbished. The rear IRS benefits from new mounts and the diff oil was flushed and refilled.Moving forward the front callipers have also been refurbed and new braided brake hoses installed. All ball joints/ track rods/ARB bushes have been replaced along with a pair of new front shocks to make sure the car has the magic carpet ride any respecting Daimler should.Overall she presents very well and looks excellent without have the over restored look of many cars. the car looks fresh while still maintains the patina of her age. She is fully reliable and ready to drive of into the sunset with.  The mileage is currently on 72k however unfortunately the car history has been lost. However after inspecting the engine internals I have no reason to disbelieve this. It does however now have a folder of receipts for the works recently completed which has been carefully hidden away from er indoors!The only things which do let the car down slightly are the paintwork on very close inspection has some small imperfections. This could be quite easily rectified and was on my to do list, a flat and polish would really help. The front lower valence also isn't the best but as these get battered by stones etc I treated as replaceable (Only 4 bolts hold this on).Any inspection is welcome and I have a pit so you can have a good look all around the car. Its fully insured/taxed and ready to go. Any propective purchaser is welcome to take it out for a test run with proof of insurance.
