For Auction : Daimler DB18 – 3 Position Drop Head Coupe (Barker Body), manufactured between 1947/48.I restored the Daimler around 12 years ago and she still looks good with minor chips and dings you'd expect when used regularly.The upholstery was redone in real leather and a new hood was commissioned in mohair and with lining included.The chrome is in excellent condition and it really catches the eye as there is so much of it.The exhaust is a stainless steel system.Mechanically, the gearbox performs perfectly and the engine sounds sweet.I do have some vehicle history and photos. I am coming to my 80th Birthday and it's now time I start to find new homes for my classic cars as “time waits for no man”.Sadly, due to the events of the last few years, I haven't been out in the Daimler to enjoy it as much as I'd like to.  Prior to this, I was a regular at car shows in the vehicle which always turned heads.It had given me an immense amount of pleasure to have owned and driven this old lady and I do hope she goes to a caring home with her next custodian.I've started the auction at £1 with no reserve to generate interest and to be fair to existing bidders, the auction will run it's full course and will not be ended early with a buy it now price - so bids really do count.Viewing is recommended (Burntwood, Staffordshire, WS7).  To arrange a viewing or for more information, please give me a call (Franklyn) on 07791 064 369.UK bidders only please, collection within 7 days of the auction ending.Payment by cash or preferably, Bank Transfer in UK pounds please.
