Very pretty and rare Triumph Spitfire 4 Mk2 finished in white with red interior trim in very good original specification and one family owned since 1966.This is a recent import from South Africa so there is little to zero rust on the chassis or panels. Overall in really good condition inside and out. Brand new wire wheels and tyres.Car is pretty original and has been a one family car since it's first registration in 1966. Seats and carpets are all good, it has the original hood frame and brand new hood. Panel fit is ok.The bottom end was swopped out at some stage in its life and replaced with a GD HE unit but retains the original Mk2 top end and twin SU carbs. Please note that the  old girl is running rough at the moment and will need need the carbs cleaning out and a tune up (Compression is equal across all 4 cylinders)   so will need to be put on a trailer.New Coil and leads fitted, new electronic fuel pump and filter fitted, new rear slave cylinders fitted.Lights and instruments all work as they should, and still has original dynamo with positive earth.BITS THAT NEED ATTENTION There is one paint chip on the bonnet and a small ding just on the bonnet chrome trim (looks like someone has dropped something on it whilst in storage) There are also one or two other blemishes such as small area of rust on top of drivers door, a little paint bubbling on the boot (near handle) and a ding on the bottom corner of the driver door. Whilst the paint could do with a little tlc the car is in remarkable condition for its age and will be a really easy project to get it back to A1 condition.I've always wanted a Mk 2 or 3 Spitfire so bought this one because of its originality and rust free condition. It's not been rebuilt or left to rot, I think it's one of a few original Mk2's  that has just been used and looked after over the last 55 years. The reality for me is that I'm not going to work on it or use it and it's too good just to keep as something I take a look at once a week. Hopefully the right owner will pick her up and with a little work get her into pristine condition.I can send some more photo's on request. Please note that the car will not be available for collection until after 24th October.Important stuffThere is no Buy it Now option, I'm afraid I do not have any spare parts and payment must be made preferably via BACS or Perhaps cash. NO PAYPAL ACCEPTED.Thank you for looking and good luck if you bid.
