PM Antiques Mini John Cooper LE 40
The John Cooper LE 40 was launched in 1999 with a production run of 300 units as a tribute to 40 years of the Mini and to mark the 40 th anniversary of the Cooper F 1 World Championship. The LE 40 was only available in the striking combination of Brooklands Green with an Old English White roof, coupled with a contrasting Grenadine Red full-leather interior trim. Each car was built to a very high specification, which included Rallye-style spot lamps, Sportspack wheel arches, 13'' Minilite alloy wheels, radio/CD stereo and an engine-turned dash with magnolia faced dials.
Originally supplied by Skinners Rover on 7 th January 2000, this Mini LE 40 displays 51,000 warranted miles from new and is a splendid example. According to the accompanying documentation, the car spent its first eight years as a daily driver before retiring to life as a classic toy, with recurring periods spent in storage. She has clocked just 8,000 miles in the past six years and has been maintained regardless of expense, with £5,000 spent in the past twelve months alone to ensure excellent all-round condition.
The Mini is sold newly serviced and Mo T'd until 13 th September 2022 and benefits from a new cat, CV joint, alternator, rear brake disks, ignition leads, windscreen and refurbished alloy wheels. Supplied with a comprehensive history file enclosing a fully stamped service book, owner's handbooks, original sales brochure and sundry invoices detailing mileage and works completed.
