FORD FIESTA XR2 MK2 (24,000 Genuine Miles From New!)

Here is my 1987 Mk 2 Ford Fiesta XR 2 1.6 Very rare car, has recently been completely re-built, genuine low miles and owners car.Supplied with a fresh 12 months MOT for the new owner.The last time the car was MOT'd and roadworthy was 1990, with a MOT check print-out supplied, and the millage recorded was 23,937. This still remains the same miles today, with it being in storage and off the road ever since.Full V 5 logbook here, with 3 previous owners only. Original owners handbook included plus Haynes manual.Over the last year or so the car has been stripped down, and restored. The car has had a small amount of welding, but to be honest looks better than factory standards! The shell has been fully sprayed on a rotisserie spit, in its original Ford Diamond White, the underside finished in a 2 k Upol Raptor Seal, in the same colour.The interior is all complete and in original condition, as you would expect, all the glass is original and etched with the correct reg. Original boot floors, parcel shelf and spare wheel. There is a few boxes of spares and original parts and extras that I purchased along the way, all included.The engine was freshened up and finished in black prior to being fitted back in the car.Runs, idles and drives very nice, although haven't wanted to take it out myself and add any miles on the clock!All the brakes, suspension, ancillaries etc have all been up-graded and some subtle modifications to improve handling and performance. Too much to list, but I will try...-Refurbished original Pepper-pot alloys, complete with a un-refurbed spare and centre caps-Brand new tyres all round-Roose Motorsport performance silicone hoses, all hoses replaced, and with new clips too, in red-Refurbished original full body kit fitted (the front towing eye cover is present also, just not shown in pics)-New alternator-Brand new custom, full stainless exhaust, sounds stunning!-New fuel pump-New cam belt and tensioner-New Air Tech performance aluminium radiator (cost a bomb)-New water pump fitted -All oils, filters, service items replaced -Brand new battery -New gasket sets fitted (exhaust, sump, rocker etc) -Brand new 3 piece clutch -New handbrake cable -Full Polybush kit fitted, finished in red -New 30 mm lowering springs fitted, finished in red (not too low, but gives it a perfect stance) -Brand new performance, vented and grooved brake disks fitted, with pads -New flexi brake hoses fitted -Brand new wheel bearings -New brake lines -New fuel lines -New rear wheel cylinders -Refurbished original petrol tank

-New rear shocks fitted -Brand new uprated performance rear anti-roll bar, powder coated in red -New aero front and rear wipers -Brand new Ford oval badges, finished in red -New XR 2 decals and graphics fitted (NOS pinstripes) -New pressed metal reg plates fitted -New brake master cylinder -Brand new starter motor fitted -New rear washer pump The list goes on, but we will be here all night!

It has been in storage a while, so may look a little dusty in the pics I took today. Its sold as a 35 odd year old classic car, so opinions vary, come and have a look, or am happy to send more photos. V 5 here with 3 previous keepers, mileage is genuine, have a folder of paperwork- this is from the restoration, so thousands of pounds worth of invoices etc. There is no filler in the shell, straight and solid car, original vin plate. Last 2 photos show the car on the jig when it was sprayed as a completely bare shell.

Lots of photos available, please study these carefully, some minor defects if your fussy, engine bay may look dusty where I have had it in storage, interior wants a hoover over, small split/crack in rear bumper etc. may need a few tweeks or adjustments once driving on the roads- its a classic car at the end of the day!
