Vehicle Details

Chrysler Imperial. C-58 Custom. Niagara Blue exterior. 331 cubic inch, early Hemi Fire Power. 43036 original miles. Very few of these beauties left. Maybe none as original. All maintenance done on this car is to original specifications. Paint is mostly original with one quarter panel (right-rear) repainted at some earlier time as far as I can see. Paint shows it's age, with chips and thinning as would be expected with an almost 70 year old car. Exterior mirror is not original, as this car did not come with one. Slight crease in right front quarter panel, doesn't brake paint. Bumpers have been re-chromed earlier. 1953 auto building was limited from using better chrome methods due to the Korean War as stated in it's paperwork. Tires are older gum dipped Firestones, not Coker's. This car is solid up top and underneath. Bright work is nice. Engine runs smooth and very quite. It use's a Fluid Drive transmission. Push the clutch in, put her in drive on the column mounted selector, take it up to 20 Mph, let off the gas, and she clicks into Hi gear and then drives like an automatic. Loves the highways, you don't even feel the bumps in this baby. Trunk is big enough to put a Smart Car in for a spare. It has a power front seat, and power windows, and brakes with electric wipers. She has a model 824 original Mopar radio with 7 tubes plus rectifier that only seems to play old music. It carries it's factory 6 volt electrical system, and generator. Mohair seats with fold down center armrests front and back. Drivers side seat has some tearing, thus the blanket cover. Rear armrests hold rollaway ash tray tops and lighters. Rear floor caries is original foot wedges for the people you are chauffeuring around town, of course, while they puff on a fine cigar. I've been her caretaker for the last 17 years and enjoyed every moment. But I am driving her less because of her newer brothers and sister classics. She comes with an extra set of wheel covers and some spare parts. Also a box of paperwork records, manuals, and hand written notes from her past. She came from Connecticut new, spent a lot of time in Arizona and here in South Carolina. I made a promise to the previous owner that I would not alter or modify her, and I have held true. Don't be out bid on this beauty, she's worth it!

I have a 1 minute video of car and engine running if interested.
