Vehicle Details
I've owned this car for a few years, and had a lot of fun with it. It is a customized 1941 Ford Convertible that is all steel-has a three inch chopped windshield and top. The top is a powered top, not a lift off Carson top like a lot of custom and "glass " cars. It has a small block Chevy engine with overdrive transmission. The front and rear suspension are GM with coil springs front and rear(triangulated type-like Chevelle), or similar. The car has power steering and brakes, air cond. and heat. This was an older build that got freshened up a few years back with new paint and interior. It is a very light tan, with purple flames, and yes-a purple harts cloth top. Frenched blue dot headlights, and custom led tail light complete the look. The prior color was Honduras maroon, like so many were. The paint and interior were professionally done. The paint has a couple chips, and a crack in the drivers rear fender down low. The fender skirts are frenched into the fenders-not clamped over the outside like most, giving it a smoother appearance. This was always my go to car show car up until last year, so the car hasn't really been driven for a couple seasons. I installed a new battery and it started easily and drove out just fine. Things I know the car needs-the speedometer has always been wrong-working but reads wrong-not accurate-the air cond. compressor has failed and needs replaced (rotory type stock GM variety). I have not operated the top for two plus years-but should work fine I think. There is no warranty as with all older cars. I will be happy to answer questions, and show the car if you are near by with some advance notice. The buyer is responsible for picking up or shipping the car at his or her expense after the purchase. I have seen cars like this with much higher asking prices-I am a little more down to earth on this one. I would like the car to go to a good home....thanks for looking.... Images
