1956 Austin A30 2 door saloon for sale

1956 Austin A 30, 2 Door Saloon, 17,350 miles,
Spruce green with colour matched green interior. Original and valuable registration. This lovely example of what must be one of the last A 30's underwent an intense restoration by a previous owner in the early 1990`s and was documented in April 92 Your Classic. Following which the engine was then upgraded to a 1098 cc which makes it much more useable. The speedometer recorded 10714 miles in 1995 when it passed to a long-term owner for 18 years.
Subsequently the interior has also been nicely re-upholstered with retrimmed seats, door cards and a new headlining. The car has then had major mechanical work and improvements, including new brake wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake shoes, fuel pump, water pump, plus much more before passing to the current owner of 4 years.
Recently
the car has been the subject of a mechanical refresh including new copper fuel line and electric fuel pump, Morris Minor SU carb and manifold plus pancake air filter, a new exhaust, coil and electric ignition, Midget 3.9:1 axle and replacement half shaft, replacement front windscreen rubber, wiper grommets and blades and a brake servo fitted, the small body rust spots have been treated and underneath the Waxoyl has been refreshed.
This car is tax and MOT exempt, but it has been MOT'd right up to May 2018. The car comes with a large history folder which contains previous MOT's, dating back to 1995, tax discs and receipts.
This good useable classic attracts a lot of attention where ever it goes.
It even has interesting and valuable secret film history. Note I work 3 days a week from 10.00-16.00
