For sale is my 1949 Ford F1 pickup. I have owned this truck for 8 years & have had so much fun with it but the time has come to let it go. This truck turns heads everywhere & people are constantly stopping to talk & take photos of it.The truck has been in the UK for approximately 10 years. The previous owner told me the truck came in from California. The bodywork on this truck is sun baked but is absolutely solid. There is no rust or rot other than light surface patina in places & still has the original metal bed floor with wooden underside. The cab corners are perfect & the inner wings & underside are solid. The truck still even has its original Cab mounted search light fitted which still works. The truck is fitted with a 302 Ford V8, C4 automatic transmission, tilt column & Mustang 2 Front end with power steering & power disk brakes. All of this was fitted in the states before it came to the UK. The transmission was rebuilt approx 7 years ago. The truck has been serviced regularly & has had plugs, leads, new carburettor & brakes all round etc. This truck drives very well for 72 years old.The truck has a cream leather bench seat fitted & I have a home made tonneau cover in matching leather that will go with the truck. I am only selling this truck as I have a young family & another American car & I just don't get the opportunity to drive them or work on them as much as I would like so have decided to let the truck go. Any questions or to arrange a viewing please give me a call.
