1989 Mazda RX-7

You are Looking at a 1989 Mazda RX7 GTU-S . This Rare Trim was only offered in 3 colors. Red, White,Black. The GTUs was a commemorative model that marked Mazda's success with the RX-7 in the IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) racing series and it featured a lightweight body, only offered with a hardtop , turbo II model suspension, crank windows, no rear window wiper, four-piston front brakes, ventilated rear brake rotors, speed-sensing power steering, a front chin spoiler, 16-inch wheels and a 4.30:1 limited-slip differential among other features. Actual Production numbers seem to be between 100- 1200 from my research.I will do my best to describe any and all known issues with the car but there is really no substitute for seeing a car in person and listening to it run. (It is a blast to drive!)New tires were installed in July of 2021.The car was rust proofed when new by the original owner, solid rust free floor pans!Below is a full list of additional known issues with the car so please consider the cost of these repairs when bidding.The air conditioning does not blow cold 32 years old so expect some rock chips, minor door dings are present , passenger door paint is faded towards top not really noticeable, suspension components have surface rust. the previous owner installed a aftermarket radio and did not finish hooking it up. The STOCK radio is included and worked fine.the wiper switch does not work in all settings this is a common issue i have seen in the second generation RX7S Compression is also good with very uniform readings across the board, no leaks, no smoke. The RX7 Has excellent throttle response when you step on it . The exterior paint shines very nice, Factory original "GTUS" decals are on both fenders I was told both mirrors and spoiler were repainted at some point due to fading Original 13b rotary engine unmodified, The front end does not show any frame damage and appears to be in stock condition except the oil cap battery box cover is included with the RX7Interior seats are rip & tear free, storage bins behind rear seats.
