Porsche 944 2.7 lux for sale
Current customer rating: (56 votes ) based onThanks for checking out my listing
I have owned this Porsche for 4 years and since purchase it has been kept in my dry storage lockup all year round sadly lack of space and a desire to buy a bmw E30 is forcing the sale.
Since purchasing I have done the following works. Some needed some not needed but done anyway
New hatch seal New sunroof seals inner and outer Full rebuild of front and back brakes New fuel lines from rear to bottom of engine New brake pipe on rear Cookie cutter alloys fully refurbished (top coat bubbled in a few places but zero kerbs on any alloys Full coolant empty and change Full oil change x 2 Brand new battery
The car starts on the button every time. Drives superb for a 35 year old car, engine pulls strong and hasn't ever let me down
Since owning it in reality I've probably done less than 300 miles which is a shame but I've enjoyed it loads when had the opportunity.
I've motd it twice and both times had some key work done to it too improve the ride
There are a couple of things that need doing on the car which were on my to do list
1) rear near side wheel speed sensor needs taking off and cleaning. Common problem on this car there's a light on the dash to say it needs doing. I've used a multimeter to diagnose which one is the issue. I may get around to sorting this before sale but may not. You can buy a brand new speed sensor for a reasonable price but the forums all say clean it first. 2) clock on the dash needs a new LCD screen - available on ebay for under £40 and a good first project for you.
Car originally was blue when made. But somewhere over the last 32 years has been sprayed black and dvla has it registered as black so must've been years ago engine bay you can see the original color.
Bodywork is superb for a old car. Few marks about but in general when cleaned and polished it looks the dogs danglers.
2 keys Original tool kit Original spare wheel Automatic rear boot works perfect Rear wiper works perfect Electric windows all working
I've removed a rubbish stereo that previous owner for and installed a classic looking modern unit which has Bluetooth and hand free speaker for calls while driving.
I know these cars are shooting up and anticipate it being worth double in 5 years but needs must
Service history - important info. Those car comes with all original docs and service books. HOWEVER I don't think the service book is for this car. But it's full of stamps etc and I've just continued with it and used It for the last full major service. The bloke I bought it from owned 8 944s and I think the service books have been mixed up somewhere along the line. However how relevant are services from 25 years ago.
In summary this car isn't concourse however it's a damn site better than most for sale out there.
I've undersealed large parts over the course of 18 months which took ages to remove the old underseal.
I'll listen to sensible offers but I won't let it go for daft money
I'll also consider a swap for a bmw E30 or a clean escort xr31 or a capris
Any questions send them over
