Vehicle Details
This is not a defender (it won't let me pick Series). It got wet up to just below the hubs on the wheels on 1 September. TMU. 1979 Land Rover Series D, Bought from a gentlemen in Colorado that did a lot of work to the truck, Looks like an '85 Chassis (it has coil springs), a possible 93 NAS 110 Body (there is no 93 VIN), it used to have a 200 TDI, which has been sold off. The Bad:- It is not running. I'm posting a few picture of it when it was assembled. It is no longer in that state. look at the pictures where it no longer has an engine thats what you are considering buying here (hope your wife is cool...)- The wiring is functional, but a bit convoluted. I would tear it out and spend the $670 for a new main harness.- The external cage holes patch job on the NAS (maybe) body isn't great, looks like alumabond. - Doors (mid doors) are showing signs of bubbling from galvanic corrosion on the skins (structure looks fine).- missing a pin on the folding windshield. - Driver side tub capping has rusted.- maybe you don't like 18" Mondials and AP six piston brakes?- LT 230 Transfer is probably a good core for a new one or just rebuild.- Steel Puma Hood- Heat and Vent controls missing. The Good ('ish):- A previously nice driving HS 28. I drove this engine trans combo in a discovery in Syracuse, felt strong and generally smooth compared to a 200 Tdi. The ZF 4 HP 22 at the time did not have diesel innards.- Diesel innards for the ZF 4 HP 22. Diesel appropriate: TQ converter, kick down, valve body. rebuilt and sealed.- four pretty new seats, on custom brackets, front two heated.- 18" Mondials, powder coated black, Yokohama tires.- AP racing 6 piston front calipers with GT 72 two piece rotors.- Psiop Devolement (??) tree bars.- Safety devices: B hoop, plus an SD internal cage kit (RBL 011 7 SSS) which has another B hoop in it.- M&D Install kit- Mercedes hydraulic engine mounts for HS 28 (optional, the M&D kit has the puck style mounts in it as well)- Full TD 5 Dash, mostly complete. have removed heat vent knobs. Will include a some alternate parts for the Hurricane kit.- ZF 4 HP 22 tunnel cover and adaptor plate- Steel Puma Hood- Ashcroft automatic center console- Madman EMS 2 Other:- Old air under hood AC condenser on custom bracket with liquid to liquid cooler for rear heat/ac.- Bracket for rear AC/ heat- assorted door seals.- heated windshield- interior trim pieces- ok Lasalle (or similar) headliner (corner damage, but not bad. I mean if you are still reading this, a corner repair on fiberglass is a walk in the park compared to the rest of the work).- heavy rubber noise pad up front.- foam Brush guard take it or leave it- box of AC hoses and AC related parts.- New Metal gas tank from Rovers North- Jensen Marine Head unit/ some marine speakers under the dash.- LED Truck "lites"- Set of four vinyl black jump seats- Engine Stand/ Engine lift Images
