GP Mk1 Beach Buggy (short wheelbase). 1.6 recon twin port "gold" engine fitted 2005, covered 8200 miles.

Without a doubt, this is one of the finest Beach Buggy's out there. Having had only one owner for the past 32 years.

Unlike the vast majority of Beach buggies, this stunning vehicle is actually registered as a VW Buggy convertible which adds huge value.

The winner of many trophies at VW shows (best engine, best upholstery, etc) including and more importantly the Best Buggy in Europe (VW Euro). Featured in several VW magazines and on Top Gear (BBC2).

MOT & tax exempt and as mentioned above it is Correctly Registered in logbook as Volkswagen Buggy; Convertible.

Owned by the same owner since 1989 (32 years). Originally built 1979. Declared manufacture 1954 (chassis centre spline). Full service history including all past receipts in 2 box files. Chassis up restoration phased over several periods. Runs beautifully; recent service. Everything in full working order.

All chrome-work/tinware done by London Chroming Co. Many parts powder coated.

Ansa dual canon chrome exhausts. Single Dellorto DRLA carburettor. 1970's gearbox & transaxle reconditioned by Microgiant. Many new & reconditioned parts, too many to list. CNC front disc brakes. Adjustable front beam.

Full wet weather gear including full soft-top hood (in superb condition); tonneau cover; bimini suntop roof. Always stored in a dry garage.

Rosso red paintwork (2 pack bake spray) which is still in very good condition. All white upholstery in excellent condition. Flared wheelarches. Mickey Thomson tyres; Cragar Super-Sport chrome wheels.

Valuable number plate is included in the sale.

This is a 1 off chance to own one of the very best if not the best Beach Buggy in the country. It turns heads everywhere it goes. It runs and drives superb. I will be gutted to see it go as I bought it with the intention of keeping it and passing it on to my children for them to keep for another 32 years but Brexit and Covid are causing me serious problems and stymieing my business, so I'm afraid the Buggy has to go.

I can organise delivery at buyers cost, unless it sells for the buy it now price, then delivery within the UK will be free.
