There are typically three categories when it comes to VW Classic Beetle Performance restoration. Unfortunately, you only get to pick 2 of the three. 1. Cheap2. Fast3. ReliableI chose fast and reliable, so you know this build was not cheap!!!!   I had a vision in mind when I transformed the standard beetle into a (FAST) beast that could also be driven without the fear of it constantly breaking down (RELIABLE). This beetle can do it all. You can drive it for daily chores, you can take it to the drag strip, and finally you can drive it long distance instead of hauling it to the car shows. This is not a shelf queen. The engine and transmission alone nearly cost 3/4 of the cost of the vehicle. It has a 2276 VW motor with the best cooling system ever made. The Jake Raby DTM system, Look it up and see the amount of testing was done for this system. I won't go into specs here as I have typed that out below. The transmission is built to last, It is usually one thing that VW enthusiasts cheap out on. Then they wonder why they have to rebuild the transmission constantly and are destroying clutches. The transmissions internals are made by Weddle. You can cruise at 90 MPH all day in this car and not worry about overheating. Look Weddle up if you haven't heard of them. The interior was all hand stitched by TMI Interiors, Taste is subjective, but I don't think you'll find a better color scheme for a beetle if you ask me. I left the interior as stock looking as I could, yet it has a full cluster of VDO gauges that you can actually see at night. I also brought the headlights and taillights up to modern specs, you'll be blow away how bright they are!!! I have documentation for all work completed on this car as well as many many more pictures. Here's a link to some few brief videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2pZPNZRTTc7MwBxVOB7K9Q Now onto the specs.......... Mileage - 55,000 milesProduction Date - August 5th, 1976 Exterior - Porsche Guards Red - code LM3A Interior - Black - code 50 Engine Specs: Type 1, 2276cc, horizontally-opposed 4 cyl, balancedBuilt locally by Archway Auto ImportsCompression Ratio - 9.6:1 (94x82, 47cc head, .070" deck .040 shims)Case - CB Aluminium case, dual relief, 8mm studs, case saver inserts, deep #3 studs, tapped for full flow oil system, Crankshaft - 4340 Forged Chromoly, 82mm, forged, counterweighted, balanced, nitrided, 8 dowel (11/32"), wedge mated, Buick journals Connecting Rods - CB Performance H Beam, 5.4", ARP 2000 bolts, magnafluxed, balanced, Clevite 77 rod bearings Pistons/Cylinders - AA, 94mm, forged pistons, balancedCamshaft - Engle FK-8, 298° duration / .382" lift (.535" with rockers) Heads - CB Super Pro, ported, polished, 81cc chambers Valves - Stainless steel, 45mm intake, 37.5mm exhaust, SUPERGRIP™ Valve Locks. 94mm Bore. Rocker Arms - CB Performance 1.4 ratio, forged, needle bearings, heavy duty studs Valve Train - Manton dual springs, Manton 3/8" chromoly push rods, Chromoly retainers, Wizemann lifters Induction - 2 EMPI 48 IDA dual throat carbs, 175 main, 70 idle, F11 emulsion tubes, 40mm ventsCarb Linkage - CB Performance, modified, fan mount linkage Intake Manifold - CB Performance Under the Deck Big Beef Manifolds, match ported, polished Exhaust System -AA Sidewinder Stainless Steel 1-5/8" merged, with 02 sensor, Jet-Hot ceramic coated Lubrication - Gene Berg GB-233A oil pump (26mm gears), Gene Berg full flow oil kit, Spin on remote filter, Scat 1.5 quart deep sump, Type 4 cooler, steel braid teflon hose, Brad Penn 10W-30 Racing Oil Cooling - Jake Raby DTM fan housing (no fresh air), Berg late model fan (welded + balanced), all OEM tin including the "Hoover Bit" Clutch / Disc - KEP, 200mm Stage II (2100 lb.) pressure plate (balanced), ACE "Copperhead" disc Flywheel - VW, forged, 8 dowel (11/32"), 12.5 lb., forged gland nut, balanced, wedge mated Pulley - Gene Berg "Equalizer" billet steel pulley, 3.5 lb., balanced Alternator - Bosch AL78X, heavy dutyStarter - IMI High Torque, Bosch relay directly wired to the battery Ignition - Bosch 009 distributor, Petronics Coil, Silicone Copper wire plugs, steel braid mechanical oil pressure line, Crankshaft/flywheel/clutch/pulley/rods/pistons were dynamically balanced as a complete assembly Transaxle SpecsType 1, 4 Speed Manual, IRS Builder - Archway ImportsCase - Volkswagen HD case, heavy duty side coversMounts - Scat heavy duty rear mounts and Scat front crossmemberGear Ratios -Weddle Hybrid Main Shaft. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, steel shift forks, hardened keys 1st - 3.45:1 (weddle gear) 2nd - 2.25:1 (weddle gear) 3rd - 1.58:1 (weddle gear) 4th - 0.82:1 (VW Type 2)Rev - 3.61:1 Differential - Super Diff, Spyder Gears, HD Side covers Ring / Pinion - Weddle 3.45:1 ratio, 8 bolt, Shifter - CSP Short Throw, new shift rod bushing and coupler Axles - Type 181 stub axles and C/V joints Misc. - heavy duty cross shaft (welded), Super Duty Pinion Bearing Retainer, hardened key, steel shift forks, Lubrication - Valvoline VV832 Gear Lube, 80-90W API GL-5 and MT-1 rated Suspension Specs IRS - Ball Joint / 4 Wheel Independent Front Beam - VW (German), Gene Berg AVIS adjusters, Ghia spindles Rear Trailing Arms - Sway-A-Way Adjustable Spring Plates Antiroll Bars - Empi 19mm front and 25mm rear, urethane mounts Shocks Front - KYB GR2, low pressure gas, Shocks Rear - KYB GR2, low pressure gas, Brakes Front - Volkswagen, Type 3 calipers (ATE) Mintex pads Brakes Rear - Volkswagen, Ate drums, Mintex shoes Wheels - Porsche Fuchs 5.5x15 Tires - Yokohama Avid Ascend, 195/55VR-15 front and 205/60VR-15 rear Miscellaneous Seats - TMI Sport X, Black Leather with Red Stitching, Black Grommets Door Panels- TMI Sport X matchingHeadliner- TMI Charcoal Tweed. Carpet: Porsche Perlon from Newton Interiors Headlights - LED with Angel Eyes and internal Blinkers, Bosch 30 amp relays Taillight- LED with Incadescent Blinkers Gauges -VDO 100 mph speedo, VDO 8000 rpm tach, VDO 100 psi oil pressure, VDO oil temp, VDO Cylinder Temp Radio- RetroSound Hermosa Radio. INSPECTION: VERY IMPORTANT. If a buyer chooses to buy sight unseen, the buyer accepts the vehicle AS-IS and understands I cannot address concerns post sale. For this reason, it's important all concerns are addressed prior to purchase. I have made every effort to present accurate and reliable information, but use of this information is voluntary, and should only be deemed reliable after an independent review of its accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. It is the sole responsibility of the customer/buyer to verify the existence of options, accessories and the vehicle condition before time of sale.

PAYMENT: I require a non-refundable $500 deposit within 48 hours of winning or commitment to purchase. Full payment is required within 7 days of offer acceptance unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. If deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said timeframe, all vehicles will be relisted and transaction will be considered void. For balance of payment I will accept bank wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).

SHIPPING: Buyer is responsible. There is access to a network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway and upon your schedule. I assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody. Buyers are welcomed to trailer vehicles home.

DRIVE IT HOME: If you plan to buy and drive it  home, please keep some things in mind. Anything is possible when it comes to a vehicle, especially a classic or antique one. We recommend transporting all vehicles to your home first, then driving it locally. Get to know the vehicle and its tendencies before embarking on a long-distance trip. If you choose to drive your new vehicle home, buyer accepts all responsibility as we are unable to control what may take place once it leaves our facility.

DOCUMENTS & VEHICLE TITLE: All purchase documents are sent immediately upon purchase. To avoid delays, I recommend returning any required documents within 24 hours of receipt. Please allow up to 30 days for vehicle titles. Usually titles are available sooner, I ask for the extra time in the event there are unforeseen circumstances.

MILEAGES: Occasionally vehicles may be driven or simply moved around. Slight differences may occur so we recommend you confirm actual and current miles prior to purchase. CONDITION: I  cover the obvious and do our best to describe our vehicles in detail. Even so, please have a transparent conversation with us before purchasing. Do be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical wear.

AS-IS: All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied. If you choose to waive inspection, do plan to have a detailed and transparent conversation with me regarding the vehicle's condition. Ask the hard questions up front. Please just call me, i am here to help and welcome all your questions!
