1969 Plymouth Road Runner

This is a Los Angeles built car with the CA exclusive twin snorkel air cleaner. I bought it 3 years ago (Sept. 2018) and had it shipped from CA to TN.

Mechanical Features

Engine:

383 - 4 BBL V 8.I'm told it is the original numbers matching engine. Picture of number on engine block

attached. I replaced the

carburetor with a new Edelbrock AVS-2. I also have the original Carter AVS carb. which I was told was rebuilt. The 1969 dated original carb. will be included. Just installed new hard to find Mopar Performance black wrinkle finish valve covers and Fel-Pro. gaskets.

Transmission:

A-833 transmission with factory Hurst shifter and dash mounted reverse light. Mc Leod clutch which was new when I bought the car. Less than 1000 miles on clutch. Original

"simulated wood grain" brown shiftknob.

Brakes:

Manual front disc brakes, but I will provide the 8" booster I had originally planned for use on my 1956 Coronet.

Servicing:

Less than 1000 miles since oil and filter change with Amsoil 10 W 40 full synthetic oil and NAPA Platinum oil filter. Also cooling system drained, flushed and refilled with NAPA

extra life anti-freeze.

Manual Steering

Dual Exhaust with low restriction mufflers. Original exhaust manifolds.

Other Features

Exterior:

Straight body with great trunk and floor pans. Glossy black lower body paint with custom painted blue and gray motif

roof. The roof is

painted 70's style, not a decal. I believe it is called table style Also, the tail panel,

hood vents and side pinstripes

have been custom

painted with the same colors used on the roof. The chrome and SS is in excellent condition. I did have an OER RH door mirror added which matches the driver side mirror. Last 2 pictures were taken in CA and show how straight the body is.

Underside:

The pictures of the underside were taken when I bought the car less than 1000 miles ago and reflect how clean it is.

Rims and Tires :

American Racing "Ansen Sprint" type rims (5).

B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A Tires (4) have less than 1000 miles on them.205-70-14 tires front and 235-60-15 tires rear.

Interior:

Excellent condition all black interior with factory De Luxe seats. No cracks in dash. New

OER front window regulators. Lights and all factory gauges work. Auto Meter tach installed on steering column.

Original working Music Master AM radio. Replaced clutch and brake pedal pads. Just installed new OER inside day/night mirror.

Air Conditioning:

The car has an aftermarket under dash Monitor Mark IV air conditioner. I have never tried to use it, but the belt is in place and driving the a/c compressor with no issue. I'm sure at the least, that it needs a coolant recharge.

Notes:

When I bought the car, the e Bay listing indicated

that the upholstery, engine and manifolds were all original. This is something you would have to verify for yourself.

The

mileage shown

is 40,744, but I don't know whether it has been around once. Based on the upholstery condition, it may be original, but that is just a guess. I believe the car was off the road for awhile before I bought it, as the excellent tread tires turned out to be over 20 years old, which is why I replaced them.
