Hi
This is my MGB GT Sebring replica, Its been in the garage since i finished the restoration 2 years ago due to illness and the covid restrictions. I filled the engine with fluids did a basic setup on the carbs and ignition and started the engine for the first time on saturday and it ran fine but will need fine tuning and setting up.HISTORY
I bought the car as a project 4 years ago it was a good solid car had 1 sill replaced by the previous owner and i have done the other. decided to do a sebring car so it was stripped to a bare shell mounted on a rotisserie and any body work repairs done and the sebring kit was fitted, the rear arches were tubbed to suit the wide wings. The sunroof has been replaced with alloy. The car was sprayed in Ford Gention Blue cellulose to a good competition car standard but has taken a few nocks over the last few years but still looks good. Rear and small side screens are perspex and the tailgate has been lightened ENGINE
Had been rebuilt previously and i have stripped it down for inspection. Is been rebored i think to 40 thou the head is a stage 1 unleaded the ports and manifold are smoothed and matched and the carbs have been modded with pop valves removed and spindles tapered, Its also fitted with a fast road cam. Its fitted with a heat wrapped big bore 3 branch manifold and a single rear box 2" system.SUSPENSION Front fitted with neg camber bottom wishbone all rebushed with V 8 and polybushes KONI Classic adjustable shocks the brakes are all rebuilt with aeroquip hoses and new copper pipe throughout. Drilled discs new calipers and lowered and uprated front spring.
Rear has a lowered and uprated rear leaf springs fully polybushed with Spax adjustables, back axle stripped and repainted all new brakes and handbrake cable .
Wheels are Ultralite 8 x 15 fronts 9 x 15 rears fitted FULDA 225 60 15 Quality spots and fog lights fitted with fuse and relays.
The car is not road worthy the brakes need bleeding and setting up all the suspension mounts and bolts need checking the engine needs setting up correctly and all the brake pipes and hoses need tightening. It will need trailering away. Its not been touched for about 2 years apart from starting the engine
Low start and no reserve it has to go, do not ask for a BIN price i will not answer Any sensible queries will be answered ASAP Cash on collection please
