I know a lot of you have been watching this car and a few of you have made contact with some offers. A change in my circumstances means I've dropped the asking price. which is extremely competitive for this car now. You won't be disappointed if you buy this!

The biggest change to this car is the engine. It is a 3. 8 straight six from a 1992-94 era M5. The conversion was professionally done by Marc at MJF Engineering near Dorking. Surrey. It therefore. in my view. is still a genuine "M" car. I'm not sure of the engine mileage. I was told it was 75. 00 when I bought the engine. Unfortunately the engine number is not present. The car itself is showing 120. 00 on the clocks at the moment. will go up a bit. The gearbox is standard from the car. The 2 weak points of this engine have been addressed as I replaced the ECU and the horrendously expensive MAF sensor (This piece alone is £750+VAT from BMW! I got a replacement from a parts breaker. and the same for the ECU). At the last RR day it showed 271BHP at the flywheel - I know the engine is "supposed" to be 335 but it is 20-ish years old.
I have the original engine. in bits. in my parent's garage and this too will be supplied. It needs refurbishment but would allow the car to be a "Numbers Matching" car should a purist be interested.  Please note that the engine is part of the deal and cannot be bought separately.
Bodywork: The car is finished in a lovely shade of "Lachsilber" as BMW call it.  I have recently had some work carried out to the bodywork to repair an area of rust on the front bumper and the rear wheel arches. There are a couple of light scratches and blemishes to the paintwork. and some small stone chips. consistent with the age of the vehicle. There is also one small area of rust on the driver's side lower sill. about the size of a 10p coin.  
Wheels: 17" Alpinas. They could do with a refurbishment. I have shown the worst one in the pictures. the rest are in much better condition. The front tyres were replaced on Saturday 10th August with brand new Continental ProSport 5 size 235/45 17 Y. The 2 rear tyres are Continental Pro Sport 2 in the same size. The spare wheel is the standard from the car with a nearly unused tyre. I also have the original set of these as came with the car when new. Again. the tyres on these appear nearly unused.

Brakes: Front are 4-pot Brembo calipers and the 324mm Brembo discs that were standard on the BMW 840Ci - these cost me £500 and really make the car come to proper stop. The rears are standard.

Suspension: Standard suspension. An aluminium strut brace is fitted across the front.

Interior: Full black leather interior with the front seats. Unfortunately not every aspect of the electric seats works but the main bits that you want to are functional - forward/back and up/down on the back. The motors can be heard running for some bits so it may be loose connections. I've not had the desire to take the seats apart to find out as its beyond my capabilities.

The warning lights work correctly along with the "Check" lights for function (Brakes. lights. oil. coolant etc). The trip computer unit does not function.

I can supply a CD player to fit into the stereo space. a Kenwood unit. However it has standard ISO plug fitment should you wish to fit your own stereo to the car.

The car is located in Horsham. West Sussex. around 20 minutes from Gatwick Airport. I would be willing to meet any prospective buyer at Gatwick Airport or a nearby mainline railway station (Horsham or Three Bridges)
