1956 ROVER 75 P 4 6 cyl

in Storm Grey with original interior, manual transmission with free wheel in good clean and tidy usable condition.

For sale is my very original Rover 75 with manual transmission and working free wheel. This is the early and now rare flat front winged model of the Rover P 4 with the later larger boot.

First registered in July 1956 the vehicle registration document shows only two former owners, one of which owned the car from 1973 to 2020. The last tax disc, still on the windscreen of the car, was issued in 1984. From then the car was put into dry storage until 2020 when in my ownership it has been fully recommissioned. The vehicle registration VPO 915 is transferable.

FULLY RECOMMISSIONING

of the vehicle included:

New brake cylinders, shoes and brake pipes.

Reconditioned fuel tank, new fuel pump, filters and all fuel lines.

Full engine service included new 20/50 oil and filter, spark plugs, points & condenser, ignition coil, distributor cap and plug leads.

All new radiator and coolant hoses fitted and antifreeze.

·

New rear valances, new front and rear inner wing splash plates and new headlight bowls. Body work prepared to bare metal and repainted in the original cellulose paint colour finish of storm grey.

New door seals, boot seal and sill edge seals.

New front wing mirrors

THE INTERIOR

is all original with the dark red leather seats having great patina and no rips, although the front seat base would benefit from some restitching. The door & boot locks work and all the windows wind up and down smoothly. The Motorola LW/MW push button radio is in working order and the original under dash tool kit with touch up paint is present. In the boot sits the original Jack and Wheel Brace. In the engine bay is the original Starting Handle and glass Washer Bottle. The car is fitted with a Tow Bar and new electrics.

SERVICE HISTORY

with the car includes Home Office Vehicle Log Sheets dated from October 1974 at 46300 miles to July 1983 at 97750 miles detailing all service and maintenance work carried out on the car. The current mileage on the car is 99967 which will increase as I am currently attending Classic Car Events to show the car.
