You are bidding on a very RARE. very ORIGINAL 1959 Chevrolet Apache Big Window NAPCO 4 WD truck that was built with a PTO and hydraulic dump bed.

This truck is in running/driving condition and retains much of its originality:

-Original Paint (Inside and out)

-Original Motor (rebuilt 2000 miles ago)

-Original Drivetrain. including 4 speed manual trans with "Granny" low gear.

NAPCO transfercase and Power Take-Off (PTO) unit.

4 WD. PTO and hydraulic dump bed are in great working condition. see video below.

-Original. uncut dash.

Seat. headliner. heater and steering wheel are original.

-Original glass (front and back glass are in great shape)

-Big Window Cab is original to the truck (VIN on cab matches VIN on frame)

In addition to these original elements. the truck has a wonderful story as well.

It was "born and raised" in California. having been built at the Oakland factory.

The truck was used as an orange orchard truck and was registered to Ojai Vistas Inc. in Fillmore. CA. (CA Registrations dating back to 1968 are included in the sale).

The orchard still exists as Sespe Creek Organics.

The truck was sold in 1987 to its current owner. and has been used regularly yet sparingly to haul pallets in Reno. Nevada.

This is a CA black plate vehicle and the plate comes with the truck.

As you can see from the 120+ pictures (Click on any of the pics to see the full album). this truck has been used for what it was built for. work.

The 4 WD system was used regularly and still works without any grinding or engagement issues.

The PTO and dump bed work flawlessly and are a very special feature.

The motor starts right up and runs without any funny noises or smoke.

Due to the dry climate of California and Nevada. the rust on the truck is confined to a couple spots on the fenders/doors and one spot in the corner of the floor.

Although metal has been welded to the running boards. the rust is minor as seen from the underside in the pics. this appears to have been a pre-emptive measure.

The cab corners on this Apache are 95%. believe it or not! The frame and body mounts are in excellent condition. as is the undercarriage in general. it would seem that the mud from the orchard did a great job of preserving the metal!

This great truck is perfect for the NAPCO enthusiast or collector.

The truck comes with a clear Colorado title.
