1979 MGB ROADSTERI am reluctantly selling my beautiful MGB Roadster I have owned the car for about six years but due to age (mine) and lack of use, its time for it to go to another owner who will use and care for it. It has only used during dry weather and the hood is never raised.I have several folders detailing almost every bit of expenditure since the car was new, including the original hand written sales invoice. In the folders are many MOT certificates, tax discs and a number of MGOC valuation certificates. For agreed value insurance purposes I had an MGOC valuation certificate done in 2015 which was £8000 at that time. Before me, I believe the car was owned by just two families who maintained it meticulously. It has never been restored but has had a rolling restoration whenever anything was needed. The body is solid - it was Ziebarted from new and has been subsequently waxoyled. It is not a concours car and there are a few minor marks/chips in the paintwork but overall it looks very nice.I have recently fitted a new MGBHive stainless steel exhaust system, and 4 new Falken Sincera tyres. The hood is the standard MG vinyl one and is, as far as I can remember, in good condition. The car runs beautifully with the oil pressure about 50psi when hot, and emission test results at the MOT were CO:  0.79% and HC:  571ppm.Although not needed due to its historic status (BMIHT Certificate) I always had an annual MOT carried out, last one was on 3/8/21 with no advisories. If I was keeping the car, I would fit a new set of carpets as the current ones are not standard and are a bit tired.Any inspection is welcome and I will happily take buyers out but only if the roads are dry.
